(Marco) "Daddy..." – he said quietly.
Christian lifted his head from his hands and Marco saw he was crying.
(Christian) "Hey, buddy..." – he forced a smile, wiping his eyes frantically. – "What're you doing here? How did you get here?!" – he looked around.
(Marco) "Grandma brought me here."
He tried to sit on the bench but it was too high. Christian smiled and helped him. Marco started swinging his little legs since he couldn't reach the ground and Christian couldn't help but to just watch his son.
(Christian) "I'm sorry..."
Marco lifted his gaze from his feet to look at his father.
(Marco) "For what?"
(Christian) "Because I saw how scared you were..."
Marco let out a little sigh.
Christian couldn't help but to think how similar he was to Hannah in terms of personality. But physically, even he could tell Marco was Christian's replica.
(Christian) "Listen, buddy..." – he turned to the little boy. – "I'd never hurt you. No matter how angry I am. I'd never hurt you or your mom. And I would do anything to keep you both safe. You understand that, don't you?"
(Marco) "I do." – he mumbled.
(Christian) "But I'm still sorry for making you afraid of me."
Marco nodded and leaned his body on Christian's chest.
(Marco) "I forgive you."
Christian wrapped his arms around Marco and just enjoyed the moment. The second moment hugging his son.
(Marco) "Mommy always says when someone is sad, we should hug that person."
Christian smiled.
How much he missed her...
(Christian) "Well, you're making me feel better."
Marco leaned back to look into his father's eyes.
(Marco) "Do you love mommy?"
Christian gulped.
Of course he did. He would always love her but five years had gone through and a lot had changed during that time.
(Christian) "Hey, why won't you go play in the swings or something? Make some friends." – he nodded his head in the direction of the park.
Marco looked at the kids playing and running around.
(Marco) "No..."
Christian frowned.
(Christian) "Why not?"
Marco then diverted his gaze from the kids and Christian thought he was scared of playing with other kids.
(Christian) "You never played with anyone besides mommy or that woman that was with you, did you?"
Marco shook his head a little.
(Marco) "Mommy sometimes brought toys so I could play and Aunt Martha played with me."
(Christian) "She did?" – he smiled a little.
(Marco) "Yes... But she always said I couldn't leave my room."
(Christian) "Why not?"
(Marco) "Because... Stefano would hurt me and she didn't want him to hurt me."
