So, I've been trying to post this chapter for quite a while but for some damn reason, wattpad is under maintenance and wouldn't let me before. Now, it's right here. Enjoy. Vote, comment and share!!
Thank youuu!!

Update: I just noticed that there was a huge mistake in this chapter, like the part where they travel from Italy to the United States was missing, as if they had been in the United States all along, so now I've edited it correctly (but the chapter may have some misspelling errors because I didn't go through the entire chapter, I will when this story is over and I have some free time)

Christian rubbed his eyes for the thousandth time in that afternoon. He had spent the entire night and morning awake. Now, the afternoon had almost gone by and the moon was starting to show on the clear sky. But he couldn't sleep.

His eyes had been locked on the blonde, bruised woman lying on the bed. The beeping of the machines being the only sound in the room. Everyone had stopped by to see her but Christian sent everyone home to eat. They were all devastated when the dark brown man told them what had happened and the choice he made.

Before

"I understand I'm putting you in a very critical position but... it wouldn't be fair for us to choose instead of you..."

Christian rubbed his eyes, trying to wipe the tears that just wouldn't stop falling.

(Christian) "I..."

"You need to decide fast. The longer we wait, the more complicate will be the surgery to save one of them."

Christian cleared his throat, trying not to let the lump affect his voice.

(Christian) "Anna."

The doctor nodded, still wearing the sad expression and turned around to walk back through the doors he had come from.

(Roberto) "What did he say?!" – he stood by his son.

Christian turned to his father, feeling defeated.

(Christian) "He asked me to choose between Anna and the baby."

(Arianna) "Oh my God!" – she gasped, her hands flying to her mouth in an instant.

He hadn't even realized they were all around him.

(Christian) "I told him to save Anna." – he said quietly.

Roberto put his hand on his son's shoulder, squeezing a little to show him he had his support. Toni was still holding Marco and was still receiving a tight hug from the little boy.

(Martha) "But she's going to be alright, right?"

(Christian) "I fucking hope so..."

They were all trying their best to hold their emotions inside but everyone since one of them wanted to burst into tears.

(Christian) "I'm going to the bathroom..."

No one said a word. They just watched him walk down the hallway and enter the men's bathroom. He walked to a stall and closed the lid, sitting down on it. He buried his face in his hands and just sobbed. He sobbed for what seemed like an eternity. He sobbed until he couldn't feel his eyes swelling. And he sobbed until he felt himself about to pass out from tiredness, even though he didn't rest afterwards.

Present

(Mathew) "Where is she?!" – he burst through the door.
