Next Morning

Hannah opened her eyes and instantly smiled when she saw the peaceful look Christian had on his face. He was still sleeping but she could see that the expression on his face was a calmer one, like he was having a good dream. His breathing was evened and the corners of his lips were slightly up.

She took his arm off of her stomach and she got up from the bed. He didn't even stirred, that was how tired he was.

She walked out of the bedroom, putting a night dress over her body and made her way to the kitchen because she was starving. As she was making some pancakes, only for her because she figured he would still be sleeping for a couple more hours, someone rang the bell.

She walked to the door and peeked through the peephole to see Jude outside with Marco by her hand. Hannah opened the door and smiled.

(Hannah) "Hi."

(Marco) "Hi, mommy." – he grinned.

(Jude) "He said he had plans with you today and he woke up at seven to-" – then Jude looked at Hannah's forehead and noticed the adhesive. – "What happened to you?"

Hannah put her hand on her forehead.

(Hannah) "I just hit my head a little and it was bleeding so I thought it would be better if I just put a band-aid." – she lied.

Jude wasn't convinced. Even Marco wasn't convinced.

(Jude) "Are you sure?"

(Hannah) "Yeah. Don't worry, really. I'm fine."

Marco walked to his mother and hugged her leg.

(Marco) "We can't bake cookies then..." – he pouted.

She knelt on the ground so she was leveled with him.

(Hannah) "Why not?"

(Marco) "Because you're hurt."

She grinned and kissed his neck.

(Hannah) "Baby, I'm fine, really."

(Marco) "Really?"

She nodded and he smiled.

(Jude) "Are you absolute sure?"

(Hannah) "Yes." – she dragged the word. – "Thank you for staying with him for the night and for bringing him here."

(Jude) "It was no trouble really. The little boy's amazing." – she smiled at the five year old kid. – "If you're sure then, I'm gonna go."

Marco kissed Jude's cheek and then she left. Hannah closed the door and then picked up her son and walked to the kitchen.

(Hannah) "So what cookies do you wanna bake?"

(Marco) "Chocolate chip cookies!" – he yelled, excited.

Hannah chuckled but shushed him.

(Hannah) "You can't talk loudly, daddy's sleeping."

Marco tilted his head to the side with a confused expression on his little face.

(Marco) "Why is daddy here?"

Hannah's eyes widened a little.

(Hannah) "Because he was tired. And he didn't want to go to his house."

(Marco) "But I wanted to be here too." – he pouted.

(Hannah) "How about this? You and I will bake the cookies to daddy and then we will wake him up together. Alright?"
