As I woke up my cheek was throbbing with pain, groaning I rolled over onto the other side comfortably as the bed was much bigger than mine back home, but when I did that, I noticed someone sitting in the armchair by the fire, a woman, Caius' wife to be more precise. I froze not sure what to do but she stood from her seat gracefully and strolled over to the end of the bed.

"Don't worry Dear, I'm here to get you ready for the day." She announced casually with a gentle smile.

"Um... you're Caius' wife right?" I asked, pretty certain I was capable of dressing myself.

"Oh how rude of me, yes I am" she confirmed as she introduced herself "Anthedora Volturi, but you can call me Dora." She answered.

"Allison Cullen but I prefer Ally" I offered although I had a feeling she already knew who I was.

She let out a giggle, something I never thought I'd hear from an ancient vampire, Caius' wife for that matter, from what I've seen and heard he's the most ruthless, "Cullen, soon to be Volturi you mean"

"Wait what? Why?" I asked confused as I got out of bed, feeling awkward with her just standing over me.

Apparently she found my confusion highly amusing as she laughed openly this time. "Getting married to my dear brother Aro soon are you not?" She explained with a bright smile.

"What?! Married? To, to him... Never!" I exclaimed, my eyes wide but I wasn't sure why I was so surprised, of course I'll be forced to marry him and become his pretty little, locked in a tower wife, I wondered if they'd let me invite my family, then I'd make a scene, surely they'd take me home, right? Or at least Dad would slice his hand off and feed it to him, I couldn't even imagine that happening besides I'd put my family at risk, Aro would kill them.

"Oh come on now dear, you mightn't be fond of him at the moment. But he is your mate you'll come to love him" as she said that I turned my previously hidden cheek towards her, her eyes widened and she gasped before adding. "On second thought let's change the subject, anyway we need to get you ready dear."

Dora seemed uncomfortable but nevertheless she rushed me off to shower as she picked out clothes for me. I tried to make the shower quick but once I was out I glanced into the mirror above the sink out of curiously and I wish I hadn't, the majority of the side of my face was a deep blue colour, purple in some places but the swelling has already gone along with the harsh red colour, I was glad my body healed faster, it should be gone in two or three days. Aro didn't have mercy when using his strength, he was a vampire after all. As I stared at it, I still couldn't fully believe it even happened, truth to be told I've never really been hit before, yeah I've fallen and inflicted damage on myself but never like this and to think my mate did this out of all the people in this world, my eyes hardened as I thought about it, how could he, and he still expects me to willingly be with him? He's insane.

There was a knock on the bathroom door "Ally, are you alright in there? You haven't moved in quite some time and your heart rate increased from it's unusual rhythm"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm okay, I'll be out in a minute" I called back as I rolled my eyes, stupid vampire hearing.

When I came out she tied my hair up in a low side bun with a braid. She then left claiming Corin is waiting for her as she informed me that my clothes were laid out on the bed. I walked up to the bed and saw the beautiful dress layed out for me, it was gorgeous, fit for a princess but too bad i don't do dresses so no way am I wearing that. I went into Aro's closet once again looking for some jeans, sweatpants, leggins or Yoga Pants to wear, anything at all but there was none, all I could find was flimsy night dresses and undergarments. I decided to suck it up and wear the dress, deciding to act mature for once...
