I must've ended up falling asleep while I was laying with Aro because he was gone when I woke up, I went to take a shower and got dressed into sweatpants and a hoodie because I wasn't bothered to make a effort today. I noticed there was a note on Aro's desk.

Dearest Allison,
There was an issue I had to attend to so I apologise for not being there when you awoke, I have organised a little surprise for you later on today, meet me at the clock tower this Evening at 6pm. Chelsea and Heidi will help you get ready later on.

I read it and couldn't help the grin that was plastered on my face, a surprise? I wonder what it is, but the most heart warming thing was his sign off. It warmed me to the core and I hugged the note to my chest like a love sick teenager. 

I had a lot of time left till 6 or whatever time Heidi will come help me  get ready because I am not letting Chelsea come anywhere near me, I haven't forgotten what the bitch did, on Aro's orders but I don't care. I felt a little thirsty but didn't want to leave the castle, I know how worried and paranoid Aro will get if he finds out I left again. Then I realised, they have human secretaries...

I made my way down to the main exit and eyes the new secretary, there was a different one yesterday.... one of the guards probably disposed of her. Mentally shrugging I walked over to her desk, she was a bleach blonde thin woman.

"Your name?" I asked her.

"Lidia" she said confidently.

We'll see if you're so confident when I suck you dry. I mentally laughed as I lunged at her without a pardon, her scream pierced the air but I ignored it, her blood was sickly sweet, not my favourite but it had to do. When I pulled away and tossed her body on the floor I stood up to see Marcus looking at me.

"Get rid of the body, Ethan" Marcus said in an emotionless tone.

A lower rank guards scrambled to carry the dead secretary somewhere. I froze... I haven't interacted with Marcus much, he doesn't speak often and don't exactly jump to the opportunity to socialise either.

"Come young one" he said and walked away.

I stood there for another minute before running to catch up. We walked silently, Marcus led us to the library. He sat down on an armchair and gestures to me to do the same on the couch across from him so I did. Him staring at me unmoving was getting uncomfortable.

"So... is there any particular reason you wish to speak to me?" I asked awkwardly.

"Yes, apologies" Marcus said but his tone didn't seem remorseful to me. "A few things actually, firstly that was the secretary's first day of work, I'm assuming you're not aware that secretaries are to be untouched until they work at least a week, it's too much paper work to be employing new ones" he lectured in a monotone voice.

"Uhh... sorry I was thirst and didn't know about the rule" I shrugged it off.

"For doing that the guard gets punishment however you're not part of the guard so I'll leave this issue with Aro" he announced.

My eyes widened, would Aro be disappointed? I didn't know about it so technically it's not my fault. Would he 'punish' me? Images of Aro bending me over his knee for a spanking popped into my head, Okay no, bad idea, let's not go there. All the punishments that Aro could give me associated with sexual things so I decided to stop that train of thought.

When Marcus realised I stayed silent he continued "I've heard that you have finally accepted the bond" he stated the obvious.

"Yes." I confirmed and then an idea popped into my head, Aro knows a lot about mating so he could answer this for me. "Marcus I have a question" I stated.

Marcus nodded "go on young one"

"You see yesterday, I was laying with Aro and then he made these weird noises, it sounded as if he was purring and I'm not sure what it was" I explained.

"Ah...." Marcus said with the tiniest bit of emotion in his voice. "That purring as you called it is the noise male vampires emit when they're truly satisfied you could say, when they're happy but it only happens with their mate. You could say when they're on cloud nine or something of that sort. When a male vampire purrs they have to be totally comfortable and happy beside their mate."

"Oh... right thanks" I said not really expecting it. I mean.... he sounded like a fucking cat but it's not like I didn't enjoy the sound.

"I'm happy that your relationship with Aro moving along nicely however you must know that My brother is a man with a lot of pride and he's very stubborn and hotheaded which may lead to many rash decision." Marcus announced not telling me anything I didn't already know but like okay.

"Yes I know, thank you Marcus" I still smiled at him trying to be nice. "Oh and Marcus would you mind telling Aro that if he doesn't tell Chelsea not to come and help me get ready he'll never live to see tomorrow" I smiled sweetly as I walked out.

I then went to take a stroll in the gardens, when I arrived back in my room around 5pm Heidi was already there.

"Where have you been my lady?! We only have an hour" she exclaimed

My eyes widened, why would I need an hour? "Call my Allison or Ally, it's an order" I told her not about to have her argue with me like Demetri.

"Yes of course Allison. Now sit I'll start with your hair." She gestured towards a stool in front of a mirror and started her work.

My hair was in a braid around my head, it looked nice, she did my makeup, my eyeshadow was silver and black along with red lips. I wore a black skin tight black dress with a high neck and wore simple black heal/boots. I also had black earrings with small white crystals and gold around them along with a matching black necklace on a gold chain with white crystals. When everything was done I was pretty shocked but in a good way? I look good not to be vain but still. Just wait till Aro sees me.
