Chapter 2 ~ Jake

"Where could she be? And how do you know exactly? How do I not know?"

Macey asked as she stepped inside my new blue Kia car. Macey was Beautiful girl with her deep brown eyes and her brown, caramel hair that went past her shoulders, she had all the curves in the perfect spots. Everything about her was beautiful.

"Well?" She asked impatiently.

"Well, I just know because she told me if she could run away anywhere it would be Florida, Since we live in Claxton, Georgia , its only an hour or so away. She told me she loved the beach's there." I said with happiness because it brought me back to a flash back of me and Sarah. When we snuck out of her house on Friday around midnight, since the Smith's lived around the woods I set up a surprise picnic for Sarah not too far away from her house.

"And right there is orients' belt, and there's the Milky Way." I said pointing in the sky. With my other arm around Sarah, her head fit perfectly in my neck, she always smelled like daisies.

"And that," I said pointing in the sky again. "Is called Daisy also known as Sarah."

"Oh shut up , it is not." she said with that perfect giggle.

"So this official piece of paper saying it is.. It's fake?" I said with a smirk.

"Oh.. Oh my god Jake you didn't have t-"

"No thanks to be said, but I know one way you can pay me back." I said while winking.

"What's that?"

"I'll show you." As I went down to kiss her, kissing her brought a million shocks throughout my body, as my lips tingled.

"So we just look at every beach in Florida then?" Macey asked with fear and no patience's at all. She brought me back to reality and disturbed me from my flash back.

"No, we look at Palm Island beach , she said that it was her all time favorite beach of all time" I said with a smirk.

With that said, silence came over us, no one wanted to speak, no one wanted to say what was really on their mind, how Sarah would react if we found her, would we even find her there? Macey took of her shoes and placed her feet on the dash bord. My first instinct was to tell her to take them off, but I thought about it and I let her leave it there.

The window was down, letting her hair fumble in the wind, her scent was flying at me. I smiled, but she didn’t notice.

An hour flew by before I knew it, finally Macey spoke.

"Well how far is it?"

"Not very, we get off the highway at exit B4 and tha-"

She did a double take out the window. And interrupted me. "We just passed B4 Jake, Great."

"No we didn't." I was positive we didn’t, I took this route thousands of times. I wasn’t wrong.

"Then what did that sign say that we passed by?" Macey said with a smartass tone.

"Anything but B4."

"Ha-ha. Funny. Look, I saw B4 so turn this car around and wel-"

"Fine if it will make you shut up." I said interrupting her, she rolled her eyes and sighed. As I starred at Macey , I got lost in her eyes, her face, her lips..

"JAKE!"

I looked out in front of me to see the car swerving, it was turning to the left all by its self, I tried the brake. Nothing, I tried all the buttons or emergency things I could, but this car had a mission.

The windshield came down like a waterfall, as it hit the tree. Air bags went off. I looked over at Macey who was trying to block the blow, her eyes were closed and her hands trying to cover her face.

I just sat there for a moment wondering what was happening, what should I be doing. The airs bags deflated, I unbuckled my seat belt. Got out of the car, my hands shaking. Macey thought the same thing as me and got out of the car.

I don’t know how or who called the police, but they came in a hurry, Macey immediately took her phone and called someone, I however was taken by a police officer.

He was older, gray hair and tall.

“Are you the owner of this car?” He asked.

I gulped. “Yes.”

The man cleared his throat. “ Ok, now your name?”

I told him everything, My full name, where I am living, the school I’m going to and the obvious, what happened.

He nodded. He called the towing company, he gave me the address and number for the towing company, told how to get my car back. He asked for my divers license and insurance. I told them they were in the car. He went to go get them. That’s when the ambulance came.

The noise was loud and unneeded. , the flashing lights were making me see blotch’s. Macey hung up the phone, and maybe started to walk towards me but it was too late.

They pulled out a stretcher from the back, taking Macey before me, they gave her a few test before they realized I was also in the crash. A sudden fear came over Macey’s face. I just wanted to walk over their take her hand and kiss her and tell her everything was going to be alright, but I would be lying , because everything was going wrong.
