I was never good enough to be anything but remedy to all of your constant pressing needs.

- All Time Low ( Don't Panic)

"Why are you here?" I coldly asked her as she stood there infront of my parent's door. "Edward, please come back to me." She pleaded. "Heaven we are over so please just leave." I said and finally closed the door in her face.

"Edward? Who is at the door?" Mom asked as she poked her head out of the kitchen as the door bell rung once again.

"Heaven." I shortly said.

I saw mom's expression darken. "I'll talk to her." Sh said as she took off her apron and opened the door to meet her.

"Good morning mrs. Barber." She greeted with a strained smile. "Where did you even found the guts to show up here?" Mom asked with her arms folded on her chest.

She stiffned as she heard mom's words.

"I know what happened. So please before I lose my patience go." She said maintining their eye contact. "Please can I just talk to your son?" She pleaded once more.

But mom wasn't gonna take anymore of her words, "Heaven. Your name does not even suit you, you traitor of a person. Get out before I call the security of this subdivision."

Quickly she turned around and walked away.

"Easy." Mom muttered as she closed the door behind her. "Ano ba kasing nakita mo dun sa babaeng yun?" She asked as she took her apron from my hands.

I stood there and pondered on her words, she has a point what did I even saw in her? Yes she is beautiful, but her manners weren't really much like her face. I guess I thought that maybe I could change her, but I did not succeed. After all, I have seen her true colors before my very eyes.

She was back there kissing this guy who I knew nothing of and she was kissing back.

I was a backup plan.

How did I not realized it sooner? Then I could have saved my feelings from her. I have been so blind.

"Have you packed your essentials? Bought chocolates?" Mom asked as she called for me to the kitchen.

"Yeah. I already did." I said as I sat at the stool across her as I watched her cook my favorite Sinigang.

"Mom, why do I have to live with ninang Hazel?" I inquired. "Well, the atmosphere back in their vacation house is better than that of your tita Grace's house." She said as she added the greeneries on the soup.

And I just nodded at the reason she gave.

Kisses has been a long time friend but we rarely talk through the internet which is also due to my hectic schedule. After all I am doing freelance photography while I am taking up my degree in business. And I can't blame her for not keeping in touch, because as told by mom she is busy working on novels.

I guess we are both passionate about the arts.

Writing is an art and so is photography. It takes all the creativity and perseverance to attain such masterpieces after all.

"Are you thinking of her?" Ha? Who is this her?

"Who are you exactly talking about mom?" I asked as she turned to face me. "Heaven?" She said as if her name was poison.

"Well, yes I think." I said.

Mom knew the reason why we broke up, after all she needs to know. And she even lectured me after knowing it. She even told me how her insticts were always right and that ever since she saw Heaven she had the feel that she wasn't gonna be good for me.

But what can I do? I fell in love.

I fell in love for someone who just needs me whenever others won't be there for her.

But now I am done. I am done being a fool following her every whim.

"You should get to know Kisses more. She is a nice girl." Mom said with a wink.

I knew it.

But I just smiled, and laughed at her.

No mom, I just promised to myself that I'll be more careful. I told myself, because I know that if I thought out loud she'd just give me this funny look.
