And I wanna cry, I wanna learn to love
But all my tears have been used up.

- Tom Odell (Long Way Down)

Looking out the window and watching the sunset still did not do anything for me. How am I supposed to finish this manuscript?

Ugh. I nursed my cup of coffee once more as Ed Sheeran sang from the background, but as soon as it ended Tom Odell came in with a song that is all too familiar.

A song almost hitting home.

Quickly I pressed the next button on my phone.

No. I don't want to dwell on my heart's problem for now because I got to mind other things.

Like finishing this manuscript.

I got the idea and slowly I have built the first chapters but as I am nearing the middle of it, somehow everything starts to crumble.

Good grief. How am I to finish on time?

Should I let myself rest for awhile to find inspiration? Should I travel? Should I read?

Giving up on typing something once more, I stood and went to plop myself on my bed.

"Kisses." Oh lord. Why does mom love barging into my room? Can't I have a little peace to myself?

"Come on. You need to go out." Sabi nya as she literally pulled me out of my bed. "Dali hinihintay na tayo ng dad mo sa baba." She added. "What? Why?" I asked as I finally stood.

"Di ba sabi ko nga we are going out." She said with a wide smile on her lips. "Dali magbihis ka na." She added as she pushed me to my cabinet.

"Okay mom. I can change my clothes myself." I said stating a fact, "Sige dalian mo." She said with excitement and impatience in her voice as she went out of my room.

Maybe mom is right, I need to get out of here even for a little while.

I took off my oversized and battered jean jacket and a plain white v-neck shirt from my cabinet and plain black skinny pants.

There. I took a red lipstick from my make up kit and swiped it on my lips. All set. I smiled at my mirror, took my wallet and phone and ran for the living room.

"So where to?" I casually asked my parents as we entered our car. "To the airport." Mom said with an awfully radiant smile.

"Airport?"

"Wait? Are we gonna go somewhere? But we didn't even pack our things." I said almost too fast for them.

But mom just chuckled.

"You'll see."

Dad plainly said and finally drove off.
