I don't want your body. But I hate to think about you with somebody else.- The 1975 (I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It)
"Come on now. I thought you know how to swim." I shouted from the other side of the pool. "Edward! I told you I just know a little. I might drown there." She shouted back with a pissed off face and I just laughed at the sight of it."Here. Take my hand." I said as I swim to her and extended my hand to her. "But I told you I don't know much about swimming. What if I drown there? It's fuckin 8 ft." She said as she looked at my hand as if it was some monster.
"Just take my hand. And you don't really need to worry I am right here." I said as I grabbed her hand. She looked at me as if assesing if she should trust me or not.
"Hey!" She shouted with panic as I dragged her to a deeper part of the pool. Quickly like a cat being lowered to the water, she clinched on me for dear life.
"Calm down. I'll how teach you how to swim." I said as I looked down at her only to find our faces just inches apart.
Then I noticed how her eyes were just as beautiful as she is.
"But I can barely reach the floor of the pool." She said breaking the moment just as I was getting lost in it. "It'll be easy. Trust me." I said and felt my heart beat went fast as she nodded and gave me a little smile.
"Okay, slowly I will let you go." I said and worry and dread was evident in her eyes. "What?!" She asked almost shouting, "Of course I will once you learned to swim, I have to." And she nodded silently.
Slowly, I took her hands wrapped around my neck and held on to it to keep her from sinking in the water. "Edward." She said her voice laced with worry. "You can do this, okay?" I said cheering her on.
"I'll teach you how to float, for it is most essential thing you will have to do." I said as I felt concious of her hands tightly holding on to mine.
Good grief. Edward keep your focus on teaching her and not on how pretty she is.
"Relax. You'll only drown if you are in panic." I adviced her as I felt her grip tightned on my arms. "I am trying." I heard her voice with a little tremble. "Look at me." I said and so she did, how could her eyes be this captivating?
"Edward?" She asked. "Oh sorry." I said brushing off the thoughts running in my mind. "Okay. Breathe in and out slowly and lay in the water." I said and smiled at her. "Don't worry. I am here." I said tightening my hold on her hands. "Let go one of my hand. Trust me." I said.
Slowly she let it go and laid on her back on the water. And just as I expected she almost drowned, quickly I pulled her in my arms and out of the water.
"Oh Lord." She remarked as she pulled herself nearer to me and held tighter. "Thank you for saving me." She said in between coughs.
"Of course it was nothing. Ninang will surely kill me if you drowned here." I said as I laughed at her.
"Nakakainis ka." She remarked and punched my chest with her left hand. "Why? What have I done? I saved you didn't I?" I asked as she stopped punching me. She just gave me a glare and demanded that I swim her back to the shallow part of the pool, which I gladly did.
"Thank you." She said her words almost inaudible.
"Let's go. I promised to help on that manuscript of yours." I said as I went out of the pool. I offered my hand to her and this time she took it as I helped her pull herself out of the water.
"And thank you for that too." She said and took the towel and wrapped it around her body. "Oh here is yours." She said and tossed me a towel.
"Let's get in. Its getting cold now." I said and she just smiled and let me take her hand. "Yeah we might catch a cold." She chimed and off we ran for the living room.
