Author's Note : Seems like there were complications when I published Chapter 2. I'm republishing it again. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for reading! :)
Another day in hell. I'm so excited to not have fun in class. I have no idea why I even bothered to go to school. Was it because I'm afraid of my mum? Ha, I don't really speak to mum. I don't even want to look at her after what she had done to me. Still, that question kept running in my mind. Why do I bother to go to school? Was it because everyone goes there, and I have to follow? Friends? Ya, I have none. Probably the fact I have to get into college and get away from my mum as fast as possible.
I walked into English class. "You're late," Mr. Smith said. I felt every eyes were on me. "I'm just three minutes late," I answered. Mr. Smith looked rather shocked. "That's rude of you, Miss Brook. Do you want to have a free ticket to the principal's office?" he replied. Really? Principal's office? Was that the best he could do? "Well, my life is crap already, going to the principal's office won't make it worse." "Just take a seat. This is your last warning. Do I make myself clear?" I just shot him a glare and went back to my seat. Everyone still had their eyes on me even when he continued teaching.
An hour passed by, and all I learned was nothing. The class was dismissed and I quickly got up and headed for the door. Next class, Biology. My favourite. I always loved Biology. Miss Samantha and I were really close. Used to though, she knew what happened and she couldn't find a way to help me. Do I really blame her? Not really. I missed her. I really do but how do you approach to someone you used to know saying that you missed them?
I sat beside Tomi. Half of the school girls have a crush on him. I don't get why, though. He was 5'10, blonde hair with blue eyes. We had been lab partners for one week now as his lab partner recently moved to a new city.
"Hey," I heard a voice beside me.
I turned around and saw Tomi looking at me. "Hello."
"Do you want to draw the heart and I'll label it?" Tomi asked.
"Urhm.. sure."I took a pencil and started to draw.
"Wow, you do have a good drawing. You have the talent, you should be happy," Tomi said.
I knew that I was good at drawing but never have I ever told anyone about it except him. I missed him."I'm Tomi." I continued drawing without answering him.
"You must be..?" he asked.
"Someone you clearly shouldn't know."He kept quiet and continued looking at me drawing but I felt him staring at me. I hate people staring at me. I turned to him and said, "Seline." "Well, nice to meet you, Seline."
"Here, I'm done drawing it," as I gave him the paper with the drawing of a heart. He labelled the heart; arteries, veins, atrium, ventricles and the valves. After labeling the heart, he turned to me, "Seline, want to get coffee after school?" Are you serious? I'm not in the mood for this. "No."
"Why not?" "Because I don't want to?" "Please? It is just a cup of coffee," he begged. Wow, Mr. Popular begging me to get a cup of coffee with him. I paused for a moment and gave out a loud sigh. "Fine, only one."
