Location: Hiragi Meeting Hall

🐾Shinya's POV🐾

"GUREN ICHINOSE! It's only been 9 minutes! This meeting is not over yet! Sit your ass back down!" My brother's booming voice rang throughout the meeting hall.

"It's just a stupid meeting Kureto. Just send me the results of the meeting later. I'm leaving." He waved his hand in a dismissing manner and then left.

"Who the hell does he think he is!?" A voice rang out.

"Kureto is of a higher ranking and he dared to do such a thing!?" Another voice rang out.

"That fool!"

"He needs to be put in his place!"

"He's going to get himself killed!"

The meeting hall was full or harsh words and statements towards Guren. I stayed silent and said nothing. I only listened to the words they used against him. Why does he always have to do such stupid things? He's a Lieutenant Colonel! He should take more responsibility towards his position!

"Quiet! Quiet!" Kureto shouted over the murmurs of the other members. "Let's just continue on with the meeting. I'll deal with Guren later."

The room was silent, making Kureto's agitated sigh resonate throughout the room. Everyone stayed silent as they awaited the start of the meeting, including myself. I watched as Kureto took a deep breath and waiting for Kureto to give me the signal to continue explaining the reports.

Everyone went around discussing and explaining and asking questions. These meetings were truly a mess. I hated meetings just as much as Guren, but, unlike him, I am of a higher status. I can't risk leaving in the middle of meeting like he does. If I want to be accepted as a member of the Hiragi family, then I have to work for it.

That was my only purpose.

To be accepted.
