Stalking Guren

Day 2: 8:35am Shopping

I made my way back to the market after taking the children back to the orphanage. I originally went to the market for shopping, but I got really sidetracked with the children for hours.

I walked around the market until I found a good store. I looked around the store until I finally found what I was looking for. I walked over and grabbed it. I carried it to the counter and paid for it. I then left the store.

As I walked out the door, I walked straight into someone. We were both knocked back be the force of our sudden impact. I hit the ground, and the person I ran into stumbled a bit before regaining their balance. "Damn it! Watch where you're going you piece of... Sh-Shinya!?"

As I heard the familiar voice say my name, I looked up at the person. My eyes met with the beautiful amethyst eyes of Guren. "Oh... H-Hello Guren..." My eyes were wide in surprise, and my face was red. My mind was filled with thoughts of when he kissed me. I wasn't ready to face him just yet, but luck wasn't on my side today. "Fancy seeing you here." I laughed nervously.

"Yeah, I didn't think you'd be here." He said.

Neither did I... "Well, I had a lot of groceries and stuff to pick up." I replied, wanting to make our meeting brief. "I should go and get my groceries that I still need." I said while getting up from the ground.

"Well, I don't need very much, so how about we do the rest of our shopping together?" Guren asked in a hopeful voice.

I really didn't want to. I felt unsafe around him, like he was going to steal my lips again. "I don't want to be a bother to you." I politely declined.

"You could never be a bother." He said hurriedly as I turned to leave. "You need to a get a lot, so you'll probably have a rough time carrying everything on own."

No matter how much I refused, he still didn't give up. It wasn't long before I gave on arguing and allowed him to go with me.

He smiled when I finally gave in, and we both discussed what we needed to get. When we finished, we set out to get what we needed together.

We walked into a small shop to get food items, and we stayed close by each other. I reached out to grab a book, and my hand touched someone else's. I looked at who it was, and my eyes met with Guren's yet again.

I kept staring into his eyes, my face felt warm. Guren is a nice guy, but why would he kiss someone like me? Was it just a joke?

I kept staring into Guren's eyes. I kept staring at his amethyst eyes as they inched closer to me. He was leaning in close to me. He tilted his head a bit as he got closer. He's going to kiss me again! My mind was racing with ways to escape, but my body was frozen in place. I closed my eyes closed as I prepared myself to be kissed, yet the the kiss never came because someone cleared their throat.

I opened my eyes to see Guren's annoyed face as he was centimeters away from kissing me. He turned to look at the person who interrupted and then backed away from me. My face burned in embarrassment, and I looked away from Guren. I let the lady get what she needed as I stared at the ground.

I dared myself to look at Guren, and his eyes showed a hint of sadness, but most annoyance. It was strange because I also felt a bit sad, a bit disappointed and annoyed as well. Guren looked at me, and I quickly looked away. My face was turning redder by the second. I heard Guren sigh before he spoke. "We should hurry up with our shopping. We don't want to stay here forever." I nodded my head and hurried through the stores with him by my side.
