Chapter 4 ~ Encountering an Evil Lillie, a Talk with Ketchum!

"Santalune City, here we come!" Ash exclaims.

"Ash has change quite tremendously." Clemont says.

Serena nods. "Yeah. He has, hasn't he?"

"The last time I saw him, he was so flirtatious. I don't remember him being as enthusiastic as he is now." He nonchalantly says.

"Well, that was until he met Serena." Dawn says with a giggle.

"Oh, how so, Dawn?" Clemont asks out of curiosity.

"It's because Serena's so cute! And nice!" Bonnie says. "Any guy would want to have her as a girlfriend!"

Gary laughs. "Well yeah. But that wasn't exactly the case, Bonnie."

"Yup! There's more to just that." Dawn says. "But, it's a pretty long story."

Clemont shrugs. "I've got time. I mean, it'll take a couple more days until we reach Santalune City."

"Okay." Dawn breathes out. "It all started when we were fifteen. It was a whole new year. Ash and Gary wanted to find a place to sit during lunch, and-"

"Dee Dee, I think they wanted to know why Ash chose me. You didn't have too far back!" Serena exclaims.

"Oh, right!" Dawn says. "Your love story was SUPER cute though! I mean, who wouldn't want to hear it?"

"Ash chose Serena because she was different from all the other girls at school." Gary says. "Serena didn't like how flirtatious Ash was, and she found him a bit annoying."

Clemont laughs. "Of course! This sounds like those Korean drama movies."

"Right!?" Dawn exclaims in agreement.

Ash began to slow down, and intertwined his fingers with Serena's. "How're you holding up, sensei?"

Serena shrugs, forcing a smile. "I'm doing just fine."

Ash frowns. "Do you want to talk later? I mean, I'm not forcing you into it, but-"

"Sure Ash." Serena cuts him off.

"Great. I love you-"

"Well! If it isn't Serena Yvonne. Also known as, the failure of Kalos." A voice interrupts.

"Lillie." Dawn hisses. "We don't know what you're up to, so if I were you, leave."

Gary nods, "As if you haven't caused enough trouble!"

Ash walks in front of Serena in defense. "Why're you here?"

"Why am I here?" Lillie asks sarcastically. "Why! I'm here to start my journey. I mean, I gotta be the best Kalos Queen there is!"

The platinum-haired girl walks over to Serena, slapping her arm.

"Ow! What the hell, Lillie?" Serena coldly hisses.

"Surely, you weren't thinking of performing, right Serena? I mean, look at you! You've gotten fatter since the last time we met. I could see the fat jiggle as we speak!"

Serena gasps. She never, ever had someone call her "fat" before. Though, she always had been a bit insecure about her body.

"Hey! Take that back, Lillie!" Ash shouts, defending the honey-blonde. "I think she's beautiful just the way she is!"
