Poet

I don't know if I'd be considered a poet
The word in and of itself sounds so pretentious
If you came up to me on the street
And asked if I considered myself a
Poet
I'd probably say "No
I'm just a person with a pencil & paper"
But I'm good in English class
When we analyse the musings of others
The musings of other people with
Pencils & paper
People talk about Poets like they're
Masters of Language
They say that
"Every word is chosen for a specific purpose"
When most of mine are simply
wasted words
A shout into the void of my mind
In whatever way possible
So I could probably be considered a
Poet
But for now
I'm just good at English
