Here's the thing
if you ask almost any on my generation
what went wrong
they'll have no clue.
I however, drowning in apathy
because that's just who I am,
will at least have a stab at it.
We have all of these things
all of these ways to publish ourselves.
Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat
And we do,
we all used to be a happy generation
We never knew what was really going on
Out there
In the "real world"
Now, we're following your plan for us
Your plans, your ideas, your everything
We make brands
While you judge us
For wanting acceptance
From the same people
We've known for years
This is my generation
Hundreds of kids
Making brands for themselves
Selling ourselves, advertising ourselves, like products
None of what you did
"Sticking it to the man"
That was your generation
We are the grandchildren of the revolution
And look where we are now
Obeying without question
