His brown eyes stare at Laura, admiring her every feature of her face as she leans against him for support.

"Are you going to go back to see your siblings and grieve with them?" Elijah says softly. "I can't" Her voice comes out weak, tears spilling down her face.

"I understand" He wipes away the tears.

"I just want to be here..." Laura trails off, quietly saying "with you".

Silence fills the air. "Elijah?".

Elijah takes her chin in his hand, turning her to face him. He leans in, closing the gap between them. His lips brush hers. Butterflies erupt in her stomach from the closeness of his lips.

"Laura" He breathes out, staring deep into her lovely eyes. "Elijah" I say earning a chuckle from him.

Laura decides that she is going to make the next move. Her lips attach to his. They both smile into the kiss before pulling apart.

The brunette looks around awkwardly, confusing him. "What's the matter?" She grins.

"Would you like to go on a date with me?".

A door slams in the Gilbert house making Laura come out of her vision. She rushes out to check on what is happening. Aunt Jenna

"You knew she was still alive? Rick? John? Laura? Did they know?".

"I can explain everything, Jenna".

"No" Jenna steps away, tears running down her face. "No. Jenna, please". Jenna runs upstairs with Elena and the eldest Gilbert following her "Jenna, please. No, wait. Jenna, please wait" Jenna slams her door once she is in her bedroom Laura and Elena are outside her door.

"Jenna, you have to talk to me. I... I need to explain what's going on. Jenna, please".

They can both hear their aunt sobbing on the other side of the door. "Jenna..." Laura says softly.

"No...I just want to be alone".

Elena calls Alaric, he immediately drives here to sort this out somehow.

"Hey. Is she up yet?" He asks when he walks through the door. "She won't come out of her room".

"What'd you tell her?".

"Nothing. She won't talk to me"

"We're gonna have to fix this, Elena".

Jenna rushes down the stairs past us. "Hey" My sister says.

"Jenna".

"I don't want you here, Ric. You need to go."

"Okay, listen. I can't begin to imagine what you must be feeling right now".

"Rage and betrayal would pretty much cover it". Jenna slips on her jacket, grabbing her bag and walks to the door.

"Where are you going?"
