Chapter Eleven | Tears & Apologies

"No" I mutter in disbelief, stepping back. Elena looks at me, worry evident in her eyes.

"Oh, my head. What's wrong with me?" Jenna says.

"Do you remember what happened?".

"You called me. You were so scared" Elena shakes her head "Oh, ah, I should have realized that it wasn't you. The second I walked out of the house, someone grabbed me. A vampire".

"Klaus. It was Klaus, he brought Laura here too"

"He made me drink his blood. And I don't...I don't remember anything after that. Where are we? What happened? What did he bring Laura?".

"We're at the quarry. He brought us here. To hurt her if we don't go along with the sacrifice".

"Why don't I remember anything?"

"Jenna, do you remember...When I told you how someone becomes a vampire?".

"Yeah, if you die with vampire blood in your system, it's...".

"Jenna" I say softly, knowing she knows that he killed her.

"Jenna, listen to me. Listen to me, everything's going to be okay. I'm going to get you out of here".

"I'm a vampire?".

"And I bet you're hungry" A witch named Greta walks up to us, smirking. Elena and Laura shares look before the younger sister goes to grab a rock but is flown backwards but Greta's magic and Laura is flung backwards into a tree when she tries to help her sister. The impact makes her pass out, the last thing she sees is a ring of fire forming around her sister.

"Shall we walk along the beach?".

Laura smiles, walking out of the large beautiful tent, leading to the beach. She sighs at the feeling of sand between her toes and the breeze against her skin. Elijah chuckles at her before taking her hand, spinning her around which makes her giggle.

Her giggling stops as Elijah twirls her, which makes her turn to face him "What do you truly want in life?".

She frowns for a moment before answering "For a wonderful life, filled with love and happiness. But right now, all I want is you".

"Laura- " His voice is cut off by her placing her lips on his mouth, stopping him from saying whatever he was going to say. He hesitates before kissing back even more passionately.

"Are you cold?" He breaks the kiss when he notices her trembling. She nods while he takes his suit jacket off, placing it around her shoulders. The two wander back up to the tent.

"Laura" A voice calls out weakly. Her eyes flutter open to see Stefan on the ground, a few metres in front of her.

"Stefan? What happened?".

His eyes move over to where Jenna's body now lays. A gasp escapes from the eldest Gilbert, tears start to spill from her eyes. "I'm sorry".

"Jenna..." She sobs quietly to herself. Stefan pulls her over to him, comfortingly. She feels him tense so her eyes look up at the scene. Klaus is walking to Elena, the circle of fire disappears around the doppelgänger.

The vampire and human look at each other, he holds out his hand but the stubborn and brave Elena chooses to stand up herself and walk past him to the altar, glancing sadly at her Aunt's body.
