-Crystal's POV-

I headed downstairs the next morning seeing Chris and Emily sitting drinking coffee solemnly in silence.
There wasn't a sound.
I walked slowly towards them,
I knew they were discussing things about me, I was just afraid about what they were about to say.
Chris turned and smiled,
"Hey honey!"
"Hi" I said quietly,
"We made you some breakfast darling" smiled Emily,
"I'm okay, I'm not hungry" I said sitting down.
There was a silence.
"Darling- why don't you help me polish your bedroom? "
"Sure"
I headed upstairs with Emily.
Emily sat on my bed and patted a spot next to me.
We sat silently for half a minute before she broke it calmly.
"I know your nervous, and- and it's okay"
"If this is about-
"I have bee here once"
"What?"
"yeah, and the thing is the day you ran, I did exactly that"
"I- I don't understand"
Emily rolled up her sleeves,
I took her scarred arm in my hands.
I ran my fingers across her white lines.
"Your dad found out?"
"No, my dad never cared"
"Just like my dad then"
"He isn't your real father, biologically yes but Chris, chris is your dad now"
"yeah but wait who found out?"
"Chris did?"
"Huh?"
"Before we were dating when I was younger I ran away from home, home life wasn't the best or safest. I ran away and was sleeping in the streets when he found me, he found my cuts and I ran away just like you."
"then What?"
"he found me, and we worked it out, fell in love and we've been together ever since I mean it was rough, but we got there and now we have you" I smiled kissing her forehead.
"So why couldn't you just have your own kid?"
She looked down, taking my hand,
"Crystal-. Your gonna meet a lot of bad bad people in your life, but you gotta be careful because some of those people might show up at any time. I met a bad enough person that hurt ,e so much I can't have a child" she shrugged.
"Besides I have you! The best, kindest and most beautiful little girl I have ever came across"
"I love you mom"
"I love you too darling and about your arms my darling, come to me okay?"
"I will" I smiled.
