"I hate to screw your day, but ya ill come, don't wanna miss what'll happen later."

Now

Winter's perspective [im in yearbook and this year's theme is Perspective. Useless fact. Rant at end btw. i need a vent sesh]

Luke looked towards Jenny.

"What's happening later?"

I panicked.

"I'll tell you in the car."

I tried to buy myself time, but we were getting in the car in literally a couple monutes. I was bright red. He raised his eyebrow, but nodded anyway.

"Okay. and btw I'm not telling you where we're going."

Isaac was the entire reason Luke and I broke up. I wasn't really wanting a fight on Valentine's Day.

We all walked down the stairs and o stayed behind i whispered.

"Why in the fricking world would you say that?"

"I'm sorry."

"Yeah."

We went down to Luke's car. I got in the front and Jenny got in the back.

"How do you always keep your car so clean babe?"

"I clean it."

I laughed, forced with my stomach literally in a thousand different knots at once. Luke looked over to me and Jenny.

"Are you guys okay? Both of you look like ghosts."

I nodded as Jenny play yelled,

"Hey you calling me white? racist."

He laughed,

"Jen, you're white."

"Only half."

"So Winter, what's happening later?"

I looked back at Jenny. She looked freaked out, as both of us should be.

"I'm meeting someone for the first time actually. I'm meeting Isaac..."

"The phone dude that you had a crush on?"

His voice was raising. My voice was barely above a whisper.

"Yes."

His voice got softer, but he was still upset.

"Was it right that I came here?"

I thought about our kiss.

"It was right."

"Then why are you meeting him?"

"Because I talk to him every day. I would like to be able to meet the person behind the screen."

"Promise me you don't have feelings for him."

"I'm working on it."

"Would you ever leave me for him."

He didnt seem mad anympre he seemed worried and sad.

"I-I would never."

"Maybe I should just take you home."

He was making a u-turn while someone ran a red. Everything went to slowmotion. My heart jumped out of my chest. I was never that terrified in my life. I heard screeching, I saw the car inching closer to us. Luke turned the wheel over and over trying to move out of the way. The car came closer, we moved faster. We moved just in time as the car sped angrily past us. He flipped us off.
