*Winter's pov*
The air was crisp and I was sitting in my bed with a big blanket, fuzzy socks, and in my hand a mug of hot chocolate of course. I scrolled though Pinterest looking at cookie recipes I could make for my family's Christmas party coming up. I sipped my hot chocolate and scrolled another time.
Jenny had come back to school yesterday and it was nice seeing her again. She is what I needed, she helps me through things that I don't think I can ever get through, this thing with he-who-shall-not-be-named was one of those things. I think I am finally getting over him though. At least getting over what he did, not so much seeing him with the other girls yet, but I will be eventually. I just need time, like for anything.
I slipped out of my blanket landing on the wooden floor. I walked across my room to a box full of decorations I had yet to put up, but now was a good time. I took the christmas lights, nails, a hammer, and a stool, and I stood on the stool hanging up the string of lights every so many inches. once I was done I plugged them in and saw the warm color fill the room. I heard on a knock on the door from downstairs and I hopped off the stool, making sure to pick up my hot chocolate, i need to reward myself for hard work, at least that's how I justify it. I walked down the stairs and I looked through the peep hole. It was Luke, hands stuffed in his pockets and a soft smile on his face. I definitely made the right choice. I bit my lip
"Hey"
*Luke's pov*
She was standing there with a messy bun and her glasses and fuzzy socks. She was clutching onto a mug that was in the shape of a teddy bear. I'm assuming it was hot chocolate. I smiled, thinking how lucky I was.
"Hey"
"Hey"
I walked up to her and hugged her, she wrapped her arms over my shoulders, she was on her toes just to reach. I picked her up and took her to the couch, i put her down slowly so she wouldn't fall. "Do you want a blanket?" she smiled and nodded
I went up the stairs and found a blanket off of her bed I made my way back to her and I draped the blanket over both of us and we sat in front of the christmas tree light, I felt her presence and my heart felt full. I know that this is the girl, that I want in my life forever
