i shot up from the bed, the room was dark, "where am i?" i wondered as my eye started to adjust, my whole body was shaking and warm tears were flowing down my cheeks, "raven?" a soft voice asked from next to me, i turned to face it. "alex?" i wondered, "yes, are you ok?" he asked resting his hand on my shoulder.
"he is asking if im alright?" i was shocked, never had a vampire even considered my well being, now one is genuinely asking me if i was ok. i didn't respond i didn't know how, i felt arms wrap around my shoulders, i froze, "its alright was probably just a bad dream, you passed out earlier, maybe your getting sick." his voice was soft and i could tell he was tired, something made me want to hold him back.
something also made me want to rip his throat from his neck, "whats wrong with me?" i wondered, alex pulled me closer and lay back down on the bed. i was still stiff as a board, "calm down, im not going to hurt you, i would have given you your own bed but with grey and the guards around i figured it would be safer if you stay close to me, ill hold you until you fall back asleep." he said sleepily.
i was shocked, "this isn't normal, vampires are suppose to be evil, violent and selfish!" i spat, alex looked down at me, "i am." he added plainly, "then why are you being so kind to me?" i whispered, "i don't really know..." he paused "originally you were suppose to be a present to grey, his birthday was 2 days ago but something about you is different, i...i feel like ive met you before, like your someone important." he said
at that point i thought he was either crazy or half dreaming so i just stayed silent, "a creek i remember a creek...." he whispered as he slowly drifted off to sleep, "a creek? someone important?" my mind was swimming but i was so tired.
i tried to make since of the situation but i quickly fell asleep.
i watched as a scene formed around me, it was dark, the middle of the night. the full moon shined down on my face and on the scene before me. i looked out around me, there was a creek running threw the rocks its water reflecting the light of the moon.
i heard a noise, distant and faint, i looked around until my eyes fell onto a woman sitting at the edge of the creek, her face was distorted with tears, in her arms she held a necklace with a solid black stone hanging on it.
i tried to walked closer but my body wouldn't move, "hey miss?" i said softly, she didn't respond, "whats going on?" i wondered aloud. suddenly the woman's head shot up, but she wasn't looking at me she was facing the forest. i followed her line of view and stopped when i noticed a short blonde haired boy.
"i told you to leave and not come back! why do you keep coming here!?" the woman hissed, her shaky voice anything but intimidating, the boy started walking toward her, "stay away from me!" she added throwing a rock at the boy. he didn't dodge the rock slid across his left cheek, "what are you doing? he is just a kid!" i yelled.
and again they didn't hear me, thick black blood flowed from the boys cheek, "he's a vampire?" i thought aloud, "stay away its your kind who did this!!" she sobbed the boy was close to her now, he reached down and layed his hand on her shoulder, "its alright to kill me if you think it will help." he said softly.
she brushed his hand of her shoulder, "i...i i loved him so much." she stuttered, a glint of pain hit me, "you don't have to worry, ill protect you forever, i promise!" the boy pledged as he hugged her, "i hate you." she whispered as she hugged him back.
"Prince Alex, it is already midnight, your father requested that you come to his quarters." said a maid waking me from my realistic dream.
i opened my eyes to find myself wrapped in alex's arms, i blushed, "tell him ill be there in an hour." alex grumbled as he shifted positions still holding me tightly. "um can you let me go?" i said shyly, alex laughed, "well i can" he teased, "will you let go?" i added my face turning a new shade of red.
alex smiled and let me go, i watched as the maid left the room. alex let out a long sigh as he got out of the bed and walked to the drawers in the corner. i realized he hadn't been wearing a shirt, he had a tall frame, and was very muscular. i noticed several scars on his back and shoulders, vampire scared more easily that humans because their wounds heal to fast for everything to disappear.
along with the scars he had a few tattoos, which by my book are sexy as hell! "what does your tattoo say?" i asked as i noticed the Japanese symbol on his shoulder, "it means unbroken i think." he replied as he pulled a t shit on, "i was drunk of my ass when i got it so who knows what it means." he laughed.
his deep laugh sent a shiver up my spine, i felt like i had heard it before. "im just crazy, i would defiantly remember if i had met him." i thought.
suddenly there was a knock at the door, "prince Alex?" the maid said from behind the door, "yes" he replied. "he said to being the human." my heart missed a beat, "me?" i choked, "the Vampire King wants to see me?"
