Chapter Twenty-five: Baby room

Ryland's POV

Shane left for a few days to go film another short film in Canada, so Shay and I decided that we'd start painting the room that were going to have as the nursery.

"What color is it going to be?" Shay asked as we walked into the hardware store

"Well... yours was yellow. So I think it should be like a lime green."

"Awe... Why can't my room be lime green?"

"We can change it later, okay?" We grabbed the supplys and got back home. It took about a day and a half to finish painting. When we were finishing up, Shay started to talk.

"Hey daddy?"

"Yeah honey?"

"When can I have kids?" I looked back up at her, and put the things on my hands down.

"Well... you know how you can get pregnant, right?"

"Uh, look who my other dad is. The hornest man on earth!"

"True. But it depends on a lot of things. The time in your cycle, if you're having unprotected sex."

"Dad said I can have sex after 18."

"Just please wear a condom!" She laughed as she went to go clean up herself. As I was cleaning up the rest of the stuff, my phone started to ring. I looked over and it was Shane.

"Hey babe!" I said as I answered.

"I'm flying home soon. Oh and we should get married soon.."

"I thought we decided on August, Shane?"

"Yeah, well I dunno I feel like it should be sooner."

"O-Okay. We'll talk about it when you get home.."

"Bye babe."

I was waiting for Shane at the airport. He got into the car and kissed me. I started to drive away when Shane started to talk.

"So, for the wedding, can we have it in July?"

"Why in July?"

"I want to have it before I turn 42." Ooh. That's why he wants it pushed up.

"Shane? Are you feeling old?"

"I felt old at 28!"

"Well, if you want it in July, we can have it in July!" Shane started to smile.

"Really?"

"Well yeah! We haven't sent out the invitations yet... by the way who do you want from your family to come?"

"Just my mom, dad, and brothers. It's going to be small, remember?"

"Yeah I know.. And when we go on our honeymoon Shay's going to stay with your mom."

"That sounds fair!" The whole way home we talked about the wedding. I was getting very exited. Soon Shane and I were going to be married! And we are going to have a baby soon, too! We're so happy!
