Chapter Five: Decisions

Shane's POV (trigger warning)
We layer in bed looking at the ceiling, I was thinking over my intire life, wondering if they're is anything I haven't talked about in my books, and him, who knows. I'm really starting to question if he actually loves me the same as I do. I'd DIE for him. But of I had to let him free so he'd be happy, I'd be sad but I'd let him go.
"Shane?" Ryland said quietly.
"Yeah baby?"
"Why don't we get out of town for a while? You know, like a vacation."
"You work all week! All month!" He turned and looked at me.
"I can call in sick, like I'll say that I got sick on the plane back. We need to figure out our relationship. I feel like it's going downhill..." I know how it feels. It was scary with lisa... I didn't want to lose her. She was my girl. Always will be my best friend.
A few hours later...
Ryland and I were eating some TV dinners at the couch, when my phone buzzed.
Lisa😋: Hey... can you come over soon?
"Hey babe?" Ryland had his mouth full and just looked at me.
"Soon I'm going to Lisa's.. She wants me to come over.. Why doesn't she want her boyfriend to go over?" He shrugged it off. He likes Lisa but doesn't like her boyfriend. He's an ass hole.
I go over as I'm done my food. I kiss Ryland's cheek and leave. Lisa's house isn't far away, so I get there in no time. I knock on the door. Out comes Lisa, falling into my arms.
"Lisa? Hey, are you okay?" I said very softly. She starts to cry. We sit down on the wet pavement, her in my lap sobbing.
"Lisa? Come on, you can talk to me! We know each other like the hair on my back!" She kinda giggled. I pick her up and we go inside. I put her on the couch.
"You know you can tell me anything, right?" She shook her head and hugged me, soaking my shirt with her tears.
"Ray.. it's Ray (her boyfriend). He's getting abusive..." She pulls up her sleeve to see the hand marks and bites.
"What the FUCK? Are you okay?" She shakes her head again.
"Shane? I need your help.."
"Anything!" She grabs my hand.
"I'm... Pregnant." My heart stops. I'm happy but scared. I don't know if she can handle this. Especially with Ray.
"I need you to pretend I cheated on him with you. To pretend this baby is yours. Just to him, you can tell Ryland but expand everything. Ray will want to kill you, but he's only 5 foot 3, I think you can take him!"
"Gosh, Lisa. Of course I'll help you, I'm kinda glad you're not getting an abortion or anything. You really want to keep it?" I asked her stroking her hair.
"I've always wanted to be a mom. I don't know what to do, it will grow up without a dad." I really thought about it. Long and hard. Well, only for a minute or so.
"I'll help."
"W-what?"
"I'll be the dad. You can put me on the Birth certificate. I might not be here all the time, but I can have a nursery at my house, fuck I'll even pay Child support! Even if I ever have kids, I don't want them to be bilogical to me in any way. You know how bad that would be? They would be fucking UGLY!"
"But what about Ryland? Won't he be mad?"
"I'll have to explain everything to him, I'm sure he'll understand!"

Ryland's POV
Shane gets home a few hours later, while I'm playing with Uno.
"Hey Ryland? Can I talk to you.
?" Fuck. It's serious. He always calls babe.
"Yeah?" I said sitting on the couch. He sighed.
"Lisa's pregnant.."
"What? With Ray's baby?" I felt my heart break. He's a homophobic ass hole.
"Yes, but I have to pretend like I had an affair with Lisa and it's mine.." Okay this is FUCKED. "But I also told he I can be the legal father..." I wanted to get mad, but I know Shane. He's nice like that. Wants to make people feel happy and safe.
"I think that's a wonderful thing to do." I said. His eyes lit up with hope.
"But you do realize that we will have a baby around here a lot, right?"
"And it's a good thing you work from home!" He lept into me.
"I'm so happy you're okay with this!"
"Wait.. does this mean we can't go on vacation?" I asked.
"We have like nine months, I can renew my passport and I'm pretty sure we have time! We could go to Germany! I've always wanted to go!"
"Okay, let me research the best place to go in Germany!" I kiss Shane and go back to Uno. Just the sight of Shane happy made me happy. But Lisa's family, and I can't change that.
Lisa's POV
Ray ran inside an hour after Shane left. He sniffed around.
"Hey bitch? Was that fucking tall-ass homo over?" Fuck. I stood up and faced him.
"Yes he was, and he's not gay! In fact, he FUCKED me a few weeks ago and got me pregnant!" His eyes turned into fire.
"What the FUCK? YOU FUCKING SLUT! FINE! RAISE A FUCKING MUTANT CHILD! I'M DONE!" And he left. A huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. Now I just have to tell my family and my friends. I can't wait. Maybe it will be cute. It needs to look like me though, because Ray's fucking so ugly. He was kinda hot but he aged four years in a day. I need to get an appointment with a Midwife or something. I dunno. I'm scared. But I'll have Shane with me, so I think I'll be fine.
