One of the things Ara hate about our government is their slow service.
Ara has been processing her documents for about an hour now and she's sure it will take more time.
Entering the establishment for the final stop, Ara was handed a card.

Is the number written on the card she was given and the nearby monitor on the counter displays #06 in it.
Great. Ang tagal pa. Ara thought to herself as she sat on an empty chair.
"Excuse me." a voice called her attention. "May nakaupo?" the woman said and pointed at the empty seat on her left.
"Wala." Ara said nonchalant and the woman sat beside her.
Sighing as she's starting to get impatient; she took out her phone, opened her internet and plugged in her earphones.
Ara started watching the volleyball game DLSU vs ADMU though live stream.
Immersed in watching the game she suddenly starts to feel a gaze. She turned her head to her left and saw the lady is peeking through her phone.
Removing her left earphone. "Yes? Miss?"
"Ah. Wala. Sorry." the lady said and adverted her gaze
Ignoring it, Ara returned her gaze back to her phone. ADMU had taken the lead as a service error was made followed by a misreception and a net touch thereby stretching their lead with five points.
DLSU closed the gap to three points when Cha Cruz made a back row attack and Mika made a dropball. It was then she felt the same gaze at her.
Once again she removed her left earphone as she turned her head, it was the same lady earlier.
"Miss may kailangan ka ba?" Ara said calmly though authoritative.
"Wala. Wala. Sorry." the lady said in panic and Ara noticed an AWVT baller on the lady's right hand.
"Gusto mong manood?" Ara offered.
The lady looked at her with a mixture of shock and amazement.
"H-Hindi.. Ano.. " the lady stutters
"Here. Share tayo." Ara said and hand her left earphone to her. The lady look at her hesitantly. "Dali wala na yung offer ko in 5, 4, 3, 2.." Ara starts counting down and the lady took the earphone before it ran out.
As the match grew intense, Ara couldn't help but get frustrated as the Lady Spikers had committed numerous of errors thereby tying the match with 13 all.
"Panira talagang errors yan." Ara mumbles to herself and she heard the lady beside her snicker.
"Sorry." the lady excused herself suppressing a smile.
Ara shrugged it off and continued watching. Everytime Lady Eagles scores she would flinch but it didn't stop her from silently cheering even when the Lady Eagles won the first set.
She sighed as the screen flashes to break. Ara leaned back to her seat and the lady beside her chuckles making her threw her gaze at her.
"Sorry ang cute lang kasi nung reaction mo." the lady smiles, showing her dimples below her eyes and Ara couldn't help but return it with a smile too.
Ikaw nga yung cute e. Ara thought
"So you support Lady Spikers huh?" the lady asked as she too leaned back to her chair.
"Yeah." Ara said and smiled mischievously "At ikaw naman, you support. Wait. Let me guess. Don't tell me. Alam ko." Ara said jokingly as she act to think very hard.
The lady chuckled and raised her hand with the baller. "Etong baller yung clue sobrang mahirap e."
"Blue...So Adamson!?" Ara exclaimed and both of them laughed.
The lady clears her throat. "Uhm.. Anong number mo?"
Ara gasped and once again smiled mischievously. "Grabe ngayon lang tayo nagkita hinihingi mo na agad number ko."
The lady seemed stunned but soon chuckled. "I meant queue number kasi ikaw na ata yung tinatawag."
"#28!" the guard called out with a hint of frustration. And that's when Ara noticed her card number is next in line.
"Ay, ako na yun." Ara stood up and gathering her things. "Ara pala." Ara introduced herself extending her hand.
"Alyssa pero pwede na din na Aly or Ly." the lady replied with a smile, shaking her hand.
Ara went to the counter and glanced back to Aly as she waits for the transaction to finish. She noticed Aly stood up as the next counter's monitor displayed #32 on it.
"Uy! Long time no see." Ara joked and Aly giggled standing beside her.
"Oo nga e. Mga wala pang 5 minutes." Aly courtly replied before her phone rang which she answered. "Hello, Baby..." Ara overheard.
Aww. May baby na sya. Ara sadly thought and as soon as the counter gave her the documents she needed, she hurriedly left the establishment without looking back.
After a year
Ara is once again back at the establishment she first and last saw Aly. Coincidentally she recieved a #28 card.
Sitting down, Ara sighed and plugged in her earphones as she watch the DLSU vs ADMU game through livestream.
"Excuse me." a familiar voice called her attention. "May nakaupo?" it was Aly with a lady companion as she pointed at the empty seat on her left.
"Wala." Ara said nonchalant as she stared at her only to turn away immediately.
Aly sat beside her and the lady she's with sat on the other seat.
"Long time no see." Aly said to her which she just returned with a nod.
"Ah. Si Baby..." Aly said and snapped her head at her. "Baby Besh. Teammate ko."
"Ate Ly naman e. Bea na lang dapat pakilala mo sakin. Mamaya iba isipin nya. Ma-turn off pa yang si crush mo." Bea pouts and Ara saw how Aly's face grew red.
"Hello Bea." Ara smiled brightly and extends her hand which Bea gladly took to shake it.
"Don't worry, Ate Ara after ko makuha yung documents ko you could ask her out na." Bea said which caused Aly to glare at her.
"Ayaw nya ata e." Ara said with a sly smile. "Ayaw mo?"
"G-gusto..." Aly trailed and lowered her head which is in deeper shade of red.
True to her words, Bea left as soon as she got her documents but not before she told Ara the purpose why Aly is here with her. That Aly purposely tagged along with her in hopes of meeting Ara again.
In the end Ara and Aly end up settling down to a nearby cafeteria and watch as DLSU won with 3-1 set.
It was then followed by a plan to watch the next game live.
And well, a few more meet ups which doesn't include watching the games but rather to see movies, eat dinner or just hanging out.
