Bea POV
Do you guys believe in fate? LIke you were destined to be with someone?
Well, I do. Cause I found that someone on a traffic Monday.
Monday. And everyone knows Monday traffic is the worst.
I was supposed to attend the practice for the U23 National Team when my car broke down out of nowhere. I was sure that I had it checked a few days ago and now it's not working. I got off my car and opened the car hood.
I checked to see if there are any damages but I wasn't sure if there are any. So I grabbed my phone and called a tow. While waiting a guard I knew saw me as he was passing by in his sando and shorts.
"Ma'm Bea!" the guard greeted me and I smiled
"Manong Ernie!" I greete back. "Day off po?"
"Oho. Nasiraan po ba kayo?" Manong Ernie asked as he saw my car
"Oho. Tumawag na din po ako ng mag-to-tow." I replied
"Gusto nyo po ba tumuloy muna sa'min habang naghihintay?" Manong Ernie asked
"Ay, nako. Okay lang ho, Manong. May pupuntahan din po kasi ako at hinihintay ko lang yung mag-to-tow." I said as I declined his offer.
"E nako, Ma'm Bea. Medyo malayo po kasi yung talyer dito at delikado na dito pa kayo maghihintay. Kung gusto nyo po iwan nyo na lang sakin ako na ho maghihintay sa mag-to-tow." Manong Ernie suggested.
"Wag na po nakakaabala na po ako." I declined again
"Okay lang po Ma'm. Di ka naman na others." Manong Ernie said making me chuckle.
I handed him my car keys and Manong Ernie told me the directions where I could ride a jeep.
Jeepney. I hadn't rode one for almost a year. Ever since I had my car, it was rare for me to ride one.
"Isa pa! Isa pa!" the Barker announced
I hopped inside the jeepney despite it looking I will get squished to death. My phone rang but the seat is too cramped that I had hard time to get it from my pocket. Good thing the man beside me got off the jeep. I immediately answered it upon seeing Ate Ly's name on it.
"Bei. Okay ka na? What happened ba?" Ate Ly asked through the phone
"Yup. I'm on the way na po, Ate Ly. My car broke down so I had it towed." I said and moved to my left so the man who sat beside me could have a space.
"Hala. Gusto mo ipasundo na lang kita?" Ate Ly offered
"Okay lang po ako. I'm almost there naman na po Ate. Call you later." I said and ended the call. I felt the jeepney starts and I then took out my wallet and paid my fare. I placed my duffel bag under the seat so as to free my leg space.
I returned my attention back to my phone as I start to play Everwing. Dying on a certain score, I removed my gaze away from my phone so I could turn to look my head to see where am I.
"Oh, shit! Para po!" I said and hurriedly went out of the jeepney when it stopped. I missed my stop!
I ran as fast as I could to the gym and made it on time to see Ate Ly and the rest of U23 are still on drills. Tired and thirsty I then reached out to my bag to get my water, only to find it missing. Slapping my forehead I sighed as I recalled where I left it.
