Prologue
I sighed as I trudged through the icy snow. After leaving my purse at home I didn't have money for the taxi and the result was I had to walk home in the snow. Not the best idea. My footprints trailed behind me as I continued walking. My feet got heaver and wetter as I trudged on through the middle of the blizzard. My long dark hair fell in front of my face creating a curtain like shield protecting me from the elements.
A cry rung throughout the forest; interrupting my thoughts . My pulse quickened and I turned to flee. To my surprise, a baby lay in the snow wrapped in a white blanket. In a state of confusion, I stared at the baby for several minutes until its cry awoken me.
"Are you cold?" I asked it, sacrificing my big thick woooly jumper to keep the baby warm. I looked around the forest searching for the parents of the child but they were long gone.
"I think I might keep you. I’ll call you Angel," I announced holding her close.
