I laughed.
"A what? Those are fictional," I chuckled thinking Athena and Jett were messing with me. They shared a worried look before whispering to each other. After consulting each other, Athena finally spoke to me.
"Angel we know you are a vampire so stop denying it. Jett and I both vampires too," She said softly. My smile faded and my heart started beating faster. Fear struck me as I slowly came to understand that vampires are not fictional and both of them were one. Trying my best not to look weak I masked my emotions with a blank face.
"I'm not one," I mumbled, "I would know,"
Athena gasped and took Jett's arm pulling him close. Surprisingly I felt jealous watching Athena touch him.
"She's not...could she...how...dead...like me?" was all I managed to hear from their conversation. I raised my voice a little louder.
"I'm what?" I asked, slightly afraid of the answer. Ignoring me, Athena nodded to Jett who grabbed my hand and lead me out the door. I smiled as I noticed Jett holding my hand. I started grinning like a idiot. He lead me back through the dark and twisting hallway. Once we had reached our destination he let go of my hand causing my smile to drop. His hands the moved to the door's silver handles.
"What am I?" I asked abruptly causing him to freeze his movements. His muscular body turned to me and his eyes seemed to express his excitement.
"You're Athena's older sister and have come home to claim your throne."
