Alternative Ending Part 21
Jett POV
I could hear several footsteps in the background. I glanced Angel to see the she was unconscious. After I had gotten the twins out of her stomach I wrapped them up in my black t-shirt.
"Brandon I need you to take Angel and the twins away from here. Get Alex too," I commanded. He nodded and called out to Alexander, who appeared within seconds.
"Evadin is coming," He said as he bent down to pick up my two sons.
"Just in case you die," Brandon started. I gave him a foul look before he good continue, "Just in case! What are their names?"
I stared longingly at Angel who was in Brandon's arms with her eyes shut tight. Her chest slowly rose and sunk back down indicating that she was alive and breathing.
"Jamie and Jake," I announced thinking of all the times she bought up those two names. Both nodded and disappeared into the woods.
"Come out wherever you are!" I heard Evadin's voice ring out through the forest. Rage started to full me and once wiping my hands on my jeans I took off into the direction of Evadin's voice.
There I saw him, his green eyes full of hatred but a smirk plastered on his lips.
"Oh I thought the queen was going to come out and kill me. How did they even trust you anyway? You betrayed them. You were my best soldier. Come join me again," Evadin said stepping closer.
"That's all in the past. I am one of the vampires now. I saw you for who you really are and left," I explained glaring at him with hatred.
"Oh that's right. They bit you and, instead of becoming the best hunter ever known, you went to the people you hated the most," Evadin smirked. Although he tried his best to hide it I could see how much Evadin longed me to be on his side again.
"Tell my Evadin is your memory foggy cause I never hated vampires," I snapped . He laughed hard and I took this as an opportunity to have the upper hand. I ran forward and punched him in the nose. He fell back and slightly touched his nose. He glanced down at the blood on his fingertips and laughed.
"You've gotten strong Jett," He remarked, "but I'm stronger."
He punched me in the stomach. I retaliated with two blows to his ribcage. He didn't flinch, smiling as he stuck me on the cheek.
"had enough?" he laughed. I spat blood on his shoes and snarled as I smashed him against a tree. I held his neck tight. He didn't cry out or flinch at the pain instead he grinned.
"Something is wrong with him," I thought staring into his cold eyes.
"Tell me Jett. When your mother died in front of your eyes by my hands, you joined me and did not shed a tear but when I took Angel you became vicious. Tell me what changed?" Evadin asked.
"She wasn't my mother," I responded smiling as I watched his grin fade. Evadin snarled and caught me off guard. He hit me with such a force that I stumble med backwards. Evadin grabbed me by the shoulders and hurled me against a tree. I quickly got up and lunged myself at him, punching him over and over again.
Only when Evadin was gripping onto conscious did I stop.
"Why do you hate vampires so much? You didn't care for your sister at all! So what started it?!" I yelled raising my fist.
"Who says I hate them? I am one," he responded, his smile showing off all of his blood stained teeth.
"How?" I said eyeing him carefully. It was impossible.
"Dracula was the first full vampire. I was the rough draft. I didn't develop properly so I'm half and half. My 'sister' was my daughter and I barely knew she existed until I heard she got with Drac.. By then it was too late. She was already giving birth to those half-breeds. Childbirth didn't kill her, I did. I would have killed Athena and Angel if I had gotten the chance but Drac escaped with them before I could touch them," he explained still smiling.
"They aren't half breeds. Athena was human and Angel is a vampire," I said clutching his shirt and lifting his back of the ground.
"The prophecy told me they were coming. I tried to prevent it. Ace killed Athena which helped a little but Angel is the center f it all. Jett trust me don't get to close to her. The prophecy says..."
"I'm sick of all these lies!" I yelled as I sunk my fangs into his neck. Any bit of life left in him was drained and soon that all remained of Evadin's legacy was a lifeless dead body. I stood up and wiped my face of any blood. I knew Evadin wasn't lying but I was sick of his talking. I glanced down at his corpse and laughed to myself before disappearing into the forest.
