Seventeen Years later
Angel
I smiled at my reflection. My almost white hair was in a fishtail down my back and my deep blue eyes sparkled. There was a knock on the door and my mother walked in.
"Baby you look beautiful," she exclaimed tearing up. I smiled wider. I glanced at the bag she held in her hands.
"Oh the dress!" She said excitedly. She handed over the bag and with a little wave left the room.
After I slipped the dress on, I went downstairs to show Mother. She gasped in approval. The dress was a beautiful white with tiny snowflakes all over. The almost see through long sleeves had a diamond trimmed edge and the hem ended at my knees.
"You're perfect for judgment day," She said hugging me closely. I swallowed nervously. Judgement day is where you find out if you're fit enough for society. Mother got off the couch and headed towards the front door; grabbing the keys on the way out.
"Angel get in the car we are leaving for city hall now." Mother called out. I ran over and jumped in the car ready to meet my destiny.
