Months had passed since Athena's death. My stomach had grown and ,unable to hide it, word of my pregnancy spread like wildfire.the news spread all over the vampire and Hunter community. Because of this my risk of death grew higher everyday.

I paused outside of Jett's room. My hands shook with nervousness. I swallowed slowly and faintly knocked on the door.

"Come in," I heard Jett's voice command. I nodded to myself, took a deep breath and pushed the door open.

"Oh my queen. Hello," Jett siad looking up from his desk.

"What are you doing?" I asked trying to break the ice.

"Just battle strageties," He explained gesturing to the map of the woods lying across his desk, "What can I help you with?"

"We haven't talked in a while and I am the queen and you are the army general so we need to discuss about Evadin," I explained sitting on a nearby plastic chair. "And I'm carrying your child," I thought.

"Oh well he hasn't attacked since Ace revealed himself as a traitor. So I guess they are planning something huge which means we need people watching the walls and you day and night," Jett informed moving his eyes back to the map.

"I'm not a child. I am the Queen, I can take care of myself," I declared.

"Your Majesty you are only 18 and pregnant," He argued rolling his eyes. I threw my hands up in defeat.

"Fine!" I yelled walking to the door. He quickly grabbed my arm, spinning me around. His lips pressed on mine. We separted once the need for air consumed me.

"Jett," I began before he cut me off.

"Sorry I haven't been talking to you much in the last five months. Its just my brothers have been on my case about finding Ace and Evadin," Jett apologized as he wrapped his arms around me.

"So hows the baby?' He asked breaking the embrace.

"Babies," I corrected him. A wide smile grew on his face. But before he could say anything Brandon came bursting through the door.

"Evadin's army is here!" He exclaimed.

"Angel go with Brandon and escape the palace. There should be a cabin not far from here," Jett commanded taking my hand, "Angel be safe,"

He kissed me breifly then fled the room to join the fight. I nodded at Brandon to signal I was ready. He nodded back and left the room. I followed him down the hall. Brandon stopped outside of the meeting room.

"I didn't think there was an escape room in the meeting room," I thought out loud. Brandon grinnined.

"There isn't," He smirked. I gasped and tried to turn away but before I could he hit me at the back of my head. Darkness swarmed me as I hit the ground.
