Chapter 2: A New School Means Starting All Over

A few days has gone by since I have last seen the wolf and the note. By now, everything was unpacked and the place acutally started to look like home. All of the boxes were all ready taken to the dump so the house was trash free, but there was also a downside to this: school.

Going to school is never easy, especially if you're the new kid. When you're the new kid, you always have people watching you and just your every move in general. It's just an awkard experience to go through.

"Are you ready?" my dad asked me as he pulled up in front of the school that I would be attending to for the next year and a half until I graduate.

"It's school, dad. Am I ever ready for it?" I replied, sighing. I grabbed my bag off of the floor by my feet and got out of the truck. "Bye dad! I'll see you after school." I called over my shoulder.

"Okay! Remember to make friends!" he called back a little bit too loud for my liking causing blood to rush up to my cheeks as some of the kids that heard started to snicker.

I quickly made my way to the front doors to get away from all of the laughing kids. It my first day and my dad had all ready embarrassed me. Well, there's no way I'm making friends now, is there dad? I thought bitterly as I walked into the front office. Well, the office itself wasn't really in the front. It was more onto the side but whatever. Who cares, right? Definitely not me. The only thing I care about is getting out of this hellhole.

"Oh! You must be the new girl! Amanda, if I'm correct?" the lady at the front desk exclaimed right when I walked in. Literally. I was only in the door for like two seconds when she saw me and decided to make a good impression on me when, really, all it did was creep me out.

"Um, yeah.. My dad had already registered me earlier into the week and I just came by to get my schedule?" I replied back, trying not to sound rude. It was already bad enough that I'm already the school's laughingstock thanks to my dad. I didn't need to be known as a rude bitch either.

"Oh yes! I have that right here! Here you go and I hope you have a wonderful day!" she said all too quickly as if she had better things to do than to give the new girl her schedule.

I gave her a small smile, and walked out the office, facing the large mob of people rushing to class. I scanned over my schedule, and sighed before gripping my backpack tightly and walking into the mess of teenagers. A few people hit me, some saying sorry, others not even bothering.

I gazed over my schedule again and tried to find my way to my first class without a problem. But, obviously, that wasn’t going to happen. I know nothing of this place, and I could see that almost everybody was gone now.

“Hi, you seem lost, can I help?” A girl voice said, scaring me and making me drop my schedule.

“Yes, where is room 532?” I asked as I bended down and picked up the paper.

“I’m actually headed there! Just follow me.” She said with a smile. I smiled back, and walked by her side.

“What’s your name?”

“Amanda. Yours?”

“JJ, nice to meet you, Amanda.”

After that we walked in complete silence. It was awkward, and uncomfortable.

“Here it is,” JJ said as she opened the door. “You first.” I gave her a small smile before stepping into the room, all eyes turning to us.

“Hello, you must be Amanda!” The elder lady at the front said with a huge grin. How does everyone know my name?

I nodded, and she beckoned me to come towards her. I did so, and gave her my schedule.

“Okay, you can sit next to Hannah.” A girl in the middle of the class raised her hand, and I sat in the empty desk to her right.

The teacher, who I learned is named Mrs. Bell, began teaching again. And, here I was left, wishing I was back at my old school.
