"Come on, Grace. We have a mission," he urged over the com. She took the dollar pizza slice from the guy and tossed a crumpled single at him. She hurried out the pizzeria's front door and pulled her baseball cap just a little lower.

"Untwist your boxers, Steve," she mumbled She casually followed the flow of New Yorkers on the sidewalk. She watched signs, following them to the agreed-upon intersection.

"One more remark and you're going home."

A single alien pod flew overhead. Everyone watched, frozen in terror. It headed down the intersecting street and she jogged to get to the corner, a vantage point.

"Yeah, I think you'll need me for this one."

"Change of plans, he's at *insert New York street* now," he called through the com.

"Anyone else actually planning on fighting?" Bucky called as the third party.

"I'm on my way, Buck," she stated calmly. She jogged through stopped traffic, finally making it to *insert same New York street* and looking around frantically. "Where are you?"

"Watch out!" he yelled. Bucky was on the street and off the com. She just turned to his direction when she was slammed from behind. She rolled forward. Bucky ran towards her as the alien stepped out of a wrecked pod.

Bucky lugged her up and she wiped some blood from her lip.

"You good?" he asked.

"I was just hit by an alien pod, I'm pretty far from good!" she bashed the alien, square in the head with fallen parking meter.

The alien stumbled, shocked out of its wits. After all, a tiny human had just attacked it with a single stretch of metal. (I'd be shocked too.)

It uttered a loud battle cry that echoed off the buildings. Crowds fled the area.

The two Avengers were forced back from the raw power of the noice. The alien stopped, waiting, and charged.

It was then, in a split second, that the Captain himself entered this scene. He landed directly between the alien and the two Avengers.

His shield was posed and the alien ran directly into it, not having the time to stop itself. The alien's head imploded a good lot before it backed off. The head fixed itself and again the alien attacked.

Steve had had enough and eventually beheaded the demon spawn altogether. A crumpled excuse for a once-great specimen lay on a broken New York avenue.

He turned to the two Avengers, his friends.

"Was the pizza really worth it?" he asked her.

"Hey, it's Luca's. It'll always be worth it," she grinned.

"Y'know, I had high hopes for you," he wrapped an arm over her shoulders. He pulled her towards him. She nailed her elbow into his ribs.

"Pizza isn't high enough?" she grinned. Bucky laughed as Steve winced.
