(Listen with Don't Threaten Me with a Good Time by Panic! at the Disco)
I took the step up to the table top. I regained balance as fellow drunks looked up at me.
"Champagne on me!" I slur. The world spins, and I enjoy the ride. They all cheer. I jump down and get the waiter to refill my glass. I down it quickly and go to the bathroom.
I puke in the toilet. I wipe my mouth briefly and wonder what I ate to make it taste so bad.
When I come out and look in the mirror, I splash my face with water and wash my hands. The door opens and Logan steps in.
"Come on, you're going home. I'm driving."
"Hell no. I'm not yours to save." I slur and walk past him, laying a hand on his chest.
I go to the bar and order two shots of tequila. I down them by the time he finds me.
"We're going home, Grace, come on."
"No. There's no 'we' anymore Logan. You said it yourself." I slur.
"I'm taking you home, dropping you off at least-"
"No you're not!" I yell above the music. Faces look at us. The waiter asks if he's disturbing me.
"Yes he is." I say quickly. The waiter asks him to leave.
"I'm not leaving without her, buddy." He says roughly.
"Logan just go. I can take care of myself."
"Not very well." He snaps.
"Go home sir." The waiter says. Logan glares at the short man. He gives him a hard punch and grabs my hand, pulling me off the stool and out of the bar.
He holds my arm to steady me.
"Let me go!" I yell at him, beating his arm with my free hand.
"No. You're too drunk." He opens his car door for me and I get in, unwillingly. He gets in and drives to his apartment. He opens the door for me and I follow him up the stairs.
When we get to the room, I sit grumblingly on the couch. He makes me coffee as I sit.
He comes in and hands it to me.
"I hate you." I say. "I hate you because I love you, and you don't love me."
"I didn't say I don't love you. I said I love you too much to force you to wait for me to come home. This mission will be the hardest yet-"
"But you don't love me enough to keep me." I was throwing words together in a desperate attempt to express how much I love him and need him to be alive.
"I can't lose you." I say drunkenly.
"I feel the same way." He says honestly, giving up on being 'fair' to me.
"I love you." I begin to cry, too drunk to hold myself and my emotions together. He scoots closer to me on the couch. He pulls me into his arms.
"I love you too, Gracie." He says into my hair.
