"Amara Collins to medical, please." A voice called out over an intercom.

Amara groaned and crawled out of bed clutching her stomach with a moving baby inside of it. The baby kicked which made Amara take a deep breath. Once the baby stopped moving, she walked out of the room where her and her friends were staying and to medical. She walked through the boring halls and watched as people stared at her as she walked. They mainly stared at her growing stomach. She heard a couple in their mid 30's whisper about her. Amara looked at them and they immediately looked away.

"I'm sorry, what'd you say?" Amara told the couple with sass.

"Nothing. " The woman stated as she grabbed her husband's hand.

"That's not what I heard. Would one of you care to explain what you just said about me?" Amara said sternly.

"I said that it's crazy that a child is pregnant. You're so young you can't be over seventeen. " The woman said as calmly as possible.

"You're right, I'm not over seventeen, I am seventeen and will be turning eighteen soon and quite honestly don't give a shit about what you say about me or my child. And honestly--" Amara was cut off my Maya who grabbed her arm and pulled her down the hallway.

"What are you doing?" Maya said sternly and let go of Amara's arm before standing outside the doors of the medical bay.

"They we're talking about me and my baby. Do you think it's wrong to defend myself?" Amara crossed her arms.

"No, not at all. These people don't get it. You have a serious case of PTSD and you have gained this instinct to fight back. Now, go see Dr. Tsing. She's been waiting on you. " Amara nodded her head.

She pushed the door open and walked into the room full of beds. It was empty. Amara called out for the doctor and few times but no one answered. Her eyes wandered to the half open door and she walked towards it and pushed it open to see people locked in cages and people hanging from the ceiling and being drained for their blood. Amara gasped and Lorelei looked at her.

"You're not supposed to see this. " Lorelei finished what she was doing and brought Amara out of the room.

"What the hell was that? Why are you draining them for their blood?" Amara asked loudly.

"You have it all wrong. We spare a few to save many. You and the others are used to the radiation, but the people here cannot handle it like you can. Our skin fries and we melt into a long and painful death. And honestly, that's one hell of a way to die. " Lorelei explained to Amara. "Let's get you ready. "

Lorelei lead Amara to the table where the ultrasound matching was next to. Amara laid down and lifted up her shirt to reveal a larger stomach than what should have been for his far along she was. The doctor noticed this and placed the cold gel onto Amara's stomach and she began to move the device around on her stomach.
