a year earlier

David and I walked in holding hands into Zane, Heath, and Toddy's house. There was music and flashing lights people were dancing, and a very strong smell of alcohol. I sighed as I knew I would be pretty much the only one not drinking, besides David.

"Hey guys!" Gabbie shouted half drinking have dancing. David and I laughed at her.

"Hey Gab!" I screamed over the music.

I looked around the place some more and wondered why they had this during the day..

"Want to get a drink?" David turned to me.

"David-" I started.

He laughed, "No, no, not like that, maybe a sprite or a coke?" He laughed and I smiled.

"I would love to."

The party ended up being really fun, although, I wasn't exactly sure what it was for, I still enjoyed myself. We all played games and overall just had fun.

In the middle of the party a very drunk Gabbie pulled my to a separate room.

"So you and David came here together! Did he ask you yet?"

Confused, "What?" I asked.

"To be his girlfriend?" Gabbie asked again.

I smiled this time, "You mean.."

"Yes David Dobrik really likes you Liza Koshy!"

I blushed hard.

"Awe you're blushing how cute."

Towards the end of the party David was quick to leave and got really antsy.

As we were driving I noticed David deep in thought.

"A penny for your thoughts Dav?" I smiled and thought about what Gabbie said earlier.

He chuckled a little bit, "Oh, yeah it's nothing."

When we got to my door David stopped to kiss me, "Hey I know this is really unromantic, and I don't know how to say this I guess, but I really like you, and I wanted to know if... If maybe you would want to take the next step in our relationship and be my girlfriend?"

David's face was bright red and I had a huge grin. We were like elementary kids all over again.

I smiled at him, "Of course!"

He laughed, "Oh my gosh! I thought you were going to say no! I felt so nervous."

"Why would I say no?" I said laughing.

"I dunno, but thank you." He smiled and kissed me again.

I kissed him back, "Goodnight boyfriend."

"Goodnight girlfriend."

I slowly closed the door and as I slid down my door daydreaming, I heard a happy shout from down the hall and smiled to myself.
