five months earlier
"David let's talk." Liza said one day sitting on the bed next to David.
He shut his computer, "Sure."
Liza held her breath, "I don't want to break up, but I feel like-" She paused when her words got caught in her throat, "I feel like- things aren't really how they- how they, um, how they used to be."
She opened her mouth to say more but David's eyes were becoming wet.
"Babe please don't," He pleaded.
Liza stood up, "I don't want to either! But we can't go on like this, we just fight too much and we- we don't hold hands or tell each other we love each other anymore-"
"I love you." David cut in.
The room was silent and Liza whispered, "I love you too but-"
"But nothing, we don't have to fight, I just want to be with you. Don't talk just be." David whispered as he held unto Liza's arms.
"Okay."
So from then on, they didn't talk, they just were there.
