Chapter Twenty Five.
Violet
It must be so nice to ride a roller coaster with your seat belts doubled buckles just like a child and it's floaties to swim. It must be comforting to swim in the same waters as your loved one and not drown. Because you would know they are there for you when you need to be saved. To help and guide you across safe waters.
I am deep below six feet under a pool of my own sorrows without anyone to guide me. He is to far. His arms and legs that could swim me to shores are so far away. And the lips that could save me and give me life are sadly not mine.
Instead I am forced more down as I go to hangout with Tate's friends. Truth be told I rather actually drown then be in the predicament I am in.
We walk together down to the canal where geese and birds usually are in the spring but to the fall there is nothing going on. The winter air creeps up as Christmas is only a month away now.
Tate has his arm around me in a friend type of way,I suppose. Or maybe he told his other friends we are dating. Which is a lie. I can tell something is there. You see it in his eyes and hear it in his words as he talks as if saying : I am taken ladies please move on.
When all in general I am the one taken. I am the one that loves another that doesn't love me back. What must feel like. I though to my myself months prior.
What it must feel like to love someone that isn't capable of loving you back. Not capable of saving you because they themseleves don't want to be saved.
Tate takes his arm away and then we stop at the bottom of the canal, "this is where it should be, " he says.
"What should be?" I furrow my eyebrows and then raise them as I see what he pulls out.
"What the hell Tate?" I ask and throw the butt over the canal.
"What the fuck bro?!" One of his friends who I recall his name being Max yells,"I wanna see you buy that much."
Tate shakes his head at the friend, "relax. She is a goody goody okay. Maybe wait up with us, Vi?" He turns back to me.
"No," I tell him, "you are smoking marihuana."
"Its not illegal we are technically in Washington. God's sake, you would think this girl knew, " Max lights up his own and then his hands it over to the next person after one inhale.
The stench of skunk fills my nostrils and I shake my head, "yeah I think I will wait up. You are nasty."
I start to walk the other direction and he walks behind me. This guy that has been having a staring eyes on me ever since we met today.
Jaden.
Let me tell you he ain't no Smith.
"Wait up. This ain't my type of party either, " he says.
Oh how i wish I said no. I wish I could have said no. Right then and there. I wish i said let me be. Let me do my own thing. But the other side told me to. Now I regret it.
"Yeah sure," I say and put my hands in my pockets.
We walk down the canal together. I walk to the beach part on the side although you don't wanna be swimming in that, that's for sure. It looks like a small beach but the grey water (as most people callit up here) it ain't worth it.
I sit down in the dirt before it and look up at the mountains. Somehow and somewhere I can see no mountains but streets and building lined up as far as I could see. A big huge tower that over looks the whole city and on top of this tower there is a point.
