Song of the chapter: Time after Time by Cyndi Lauper
Chapter Fifteen.
Drew's POV
"You're telling me that he just told you-" Austin is flabbergasted by this point and I don't blame him. Nate isn't even listening as just looks out of the back window and Levi is sitting in the passenger seat butting in the conversation.
"No. No. I think what this bitchacho means is that he knows for a fact the guy was a creep," Levi looks from the back to the front with me. I shake my head in disbelief.
No one is getting the point. No one is getting that I am fine and that all of it is fine. There was a reason for me to go to that office and that department. What Mr. Mucherson did was nothing short of a miracle. I am happy once again. It was terrible and I lost sight of what really mattered the most.
That was the guys and the relationship I have with them and my family. It's so much more than what I had with Austin Locker or what I had with Violet. It was my destiny and this was all part of the plan.
"So he just had a dream about the other Au-"
"Okay okay," there was a voice in the back. the voice of Nate's who was being very quiet and shy," we get it guys. We should get it. Don't you know the point Drew is trying to make?"
I see Levi bite his lip and pretend to look out of the window to the mirror but I know he is trying to avoid looking back at me.
Austin says back at him," I get it I guess. It's part of Drew's plan, right? We were. We were more important to him than what his past should be. We all need to let go of the past to be honest."
I finally see Levi nod, "we all need to let go of the past you're right. We all have skeletons in the closet we need to release but that shouldn't be any problem."
"It shouldn't but it is," Austin says and he leans next to Levi's seat. he puts a hand on my shoulder, "what are your plans for today? What do you want to get accomplished?"
"Well I really want to go to Wal-Mart," I joke with him. I make the blinker toward the sign and then laugh along as they make jokes about Wal-Mart. Knowing Levi he could go on for hours with just simply saying Wal-Mart itself. So I put the car in park once we get to a spot and look at all three of them, "I just want to live for today."
Austin nods, "I see. I really do. I think we all need to live by that." He unbuckles his seat belt and then opens his door.
Without saying anymore we all get out and then begin to walk to the entrance.
"So why are we going to Wal-Mart again?" Levi asks as he scratches his neck," if you are trying to beg me to cut my hair my mom already tried."
I laugh, "there isn't any specific reason bro. I just think we should have a barbecue or something."
We walk into the Wal-Mart. There is an odd looking couple that keep following us and as we gather our ingredients for the barbecue it really feels like they are following us.
"So what condiments do we need at the place Nathaniel?" Levi asks and he picks up a bottle of ketchup, "do we need tomato ketchup or mustard?"
"Maybe some mayonnaise," Austin adds and he smirks.
Levi shakes his head, "to hell with mayonnaise. That's gross. "
"Says the person who would eat his boogers when he was younger," Nate says and he puts both the mustard and ketchup in the cart he is pushing.
