"So, you're telling me some lady wearing robes and sunglasses needed you?" Tony asked.
"Yeah, she mentioned something about a universal threat, and some guy called Dormantia or something," Peter answered. "She said something about being the seer of the multiverse. Mr. Stark, I guess what I'm trying to say is; what the hell is she trying to tell me?"
Tony had a grave look on his face. If this was the threat that he had hoped wouldn't surface, they needed Peter, if she had come to him. "Listen," Tony started. "I don't really think I can explain the magic of it. All I can say is that I know about the multiverse. Come with me."
Both Peter and Tony got up, and Peter followed him to a bigger room with technicians and engineers, all of which were working on something. Tony walked down to another room, which had a whiteboard. He opened up a marker, and drew a circle on one end of the board. "Let's say this is our universe. We all used to think we were alone in our little Earth, but we have the entire galaxy to look around us. But..." he started, whilst drawing two lines apart from the main circle. "...any decisions we make, either in the past or present, can lead to a whole other world. Just to go crazy, one with the Avengers in a medieval knight scenario, or another where the genders are swapped. In other words, this woman is telling you that she needs your help to protect not only our world, but other versions of our world as well."
Peter took some time to take all of this in. Then he remembered, "Wait, so you said you could explain the science of it. What about the magic? If Thor is nowhere to be found, who else can we go to get some other explanation of the multiverse, or even how to get me there?"
"I think I know just the colleague," Tony replied. "Follow me." And so, Peter followed Tony back to his office, where he dialed a number on the landline, and hesitated. "Hi, Grace, this is Tony. Could you leave a message for him? Tell him I'll meet him at his office. Yes, the one on Bleeker Street. I'm bringing a plus one also. Thank you Grace, say hi to your sister for me, hon." With that, Tony hung up the phone, and went to a coat rack. He grabbed his coat, and put a finger on his watch. "Happy, get the car ready, we're going downtown."
"Which one? You practically own 6 Italian models, not to mention the Audis, the Limo, and then there's-"
"I don't care which one we use, surprise me. I've got an appointment in half an hour, so make it a fast one," snapped Tony. "Kid, put the suit in the backpack, we're going on a road trip."
"Okay, but where are we going Mr. Stark?" Peter asked.
"To find the Sorcerer Supreme," Tony replied. The two rushed out the door, and an Audi TT awaited them in the dirt path. The passenger window rolled down, and Happy Hogan's face peered out the window. "Hop in," he said.
Both Peter and Tony got into the back seat, and Happy looked at Tony through the rearview mirror. "Where to boss?" he asked.
"117 Bleeker Street, and put some gas on it," Tony replied. Happy nodded in response, and put his foot on the gas. The vehicle sped up and all Peter could see was the blur of yellow New York cabs, the rush of people, and the blaring of horns all across the city. These noises and sights made Peter think that he was a normal kid from New York, but he wasn't. He was the friendly neighborhood Spider-man, swinging around saving people from petty thieves to large scale bank robberies.
Happy pulled the car over, right next to the old abandoned haunted house that Peter and his friends dared each other to try and find the weirdest items they could find. The one thing he found was a weird cloak that just floated. He brought it home, and hung it in his closet, but when he woke up the next morning, it was gone, and his window was open. He was always mystified by that cloak.
"Come on, we have an appointment," said Tony, which snapped Peter back to reality. He heard whispers in his ears, but he couldn't see where they were coming from.
"Wait, we're going into the spooky looking mansion? I'd even settle for the dark alley next to the place," said Peter.
"Well, would you do it for a Spidey Snack?" quipped Tony. Peter had been asked this question before, and he knew that Mr. Stark did it to bother him.
"Let's just go inside and see whoever you said could help," Peter replied. The two Avengers proceeded into the mansion, and the door shut behind them. All sorts of relics and knick-knacks littered the place: battle weapons, strange contraptions, even a cloak that was encased in glass. A cloak?! Peter remembered that as the same cloak he took from the place when he was little. Tony and Peter climbed the flight of stairs, and a man sitting cross legged on a chair was visible. Well, when more of the man was to be seen, Peter noticed that there was no chair, and this man was sitting in mid air!
"Ah, Mr. Strange, what a pleasure to see you," said Tony, reaching a hand out. The man known as Strange looked up from his book, placed it on a table, and slowly levitated down. "Mr. Stark, as I have corrected you numerous times, it's either Dr. Strange or simply Stephen," he replied. He shook Stark's hand anyway, asking, "Who's your friend?"
"This is Mr. Peter Parker, and he has a story to tell you," Mr Stark stated.
