"I don't understand." Honey Lemon stated. The entire gang sat underneath a cherry blossom tree full in bloom, the entire idea belonging to Hiro. GoGo sighed for the tenth time that morning, obviously deprived from breakfast and coffee- a terrible mix for the girl.
"What is there NOT to understand Honey?" GoGo groaned, obviously annoyed. "We are to search (Y/n)'s home and see if we can find any clues! It's logical sense!"
"No,no,no..." Honey shook her head quickly, dismissing what GoGo said. "What I mean is- what are we looking for? We go to the (L/n)'s house and then what? We find some sort of DNA for Baymax to scan?"
(Y/n) nodded in agreement, the chemistry whizz had a point, what had she expected to find? Luckily, Hiro seemed to have already planned that answer. "We might not find anything." Hiro admitted, "But we can scan the area and see if we can pick up anything the police may have missed...then we can see how the murders located and killed them, that should be a good enough start..."
"But what if it's completely empty?" Fred asked.
"Then we start from scratch and treat this like any other mission, suspects then witnesses." Hiro nodded.
There was a moment of silence between the group as everyone focused on their own trains of thought, probably wondering how they were going to pull such thing off. (Y/n) looked at the images recovered from the police report, all of them easily accessible from the laptop Maddy had given.
And then the lucky roll of the die went sour.
Probably the best way to describe such situation would be a double rolled three times. Two lucky events, although more or so unpleasant for (Y/n), and finally, the punishment of the third double.
A dark figure, not recognisable at that point in time had sprung from hiding. Probably eavesdropping on them and listening in on their plan. The figure made their presence known immediately after. (Y/n) snapped the laptop shut as the figure pulled out a weapon, long, thin, shiny and SHARP. A katana, judging by the way it was held, one in each hand, there for one reason only. To Kill.
"RUN!" Wasabi screamed frantically, pushing everyone out of the way on instinct, the figure, dressed from head to toe in black with a slit to reveal their eyes ran after them, easily catching up due to the disadvantage of bringing Baymax along.
"HURRY!" Fred yelled, pushing the puffy robot as fast as possible. "Why didn't we bring our suits?"
"DOESN'T MATTER!" (Y/n) cut in, helping to pull Baymax from the front, the robot trying his best to move his small stubby feet.
The figure easily lost track of them, their own tactics of doing fancy backflips and boastful handstands caused a loss of track, two katanas in hand but no target to hit.
"I don't understand..." (Y/n) panted, losing breath quickly. "Where did they come from? How did they find us over night? No one keep in contact with me apart-" She hesitated, realising that they were being followed, a sickening feeling in her gut clenched.
Their running slowed down, hidden from view by a few thick trees. "Do you think we lost them?" Honey Lemon asked.
"Affirmative." Baymax answered her.
"They found us...are any of us rigged?" was Hiro's immediate first question. Everyone looked at each other, heads shaking in confusion.
(Y/n) eyed her laptop.
She didn't want to think the unthinkable but so far that seemed to be the only reasonable answer. She sighed, raising her hand half way half-heartedly. "I think..." She began, "I am."
