(Y/n) and Hiro sat patiently at the San Fransokyo Police Station. For once, Hiro was on the other side of the bars instead of inside and seemed to prefer this arrangement very much. (Y/n) stared at those behind bars, uneasily looking at Hiro abruptly. "They seem to know you..."

Hiro shuddered. "Bot fighters...that I beat" He smiled back, foot continuing to tap even more nervously.

(Y/n) guiltily looked up from her phone, eyeing the entrance door for any side of Maddy. They had agreed to meet up, it had been a few normal days for once since the capture of the poor girl's mother but Maddy had wanted to meet Hiro and (Y/n) personally to pass on some information that she had learnt.

"(Y/n)! Hiro!" a voice called from the other side of the room. Hiro and (Y/n) jumped in surprise, turning to see Maddy in the flesh. (Y/n) walked up to her friend slowly before hugging her cautiously.

"You ok?" Hiro muttered as Maddy nodded her head feebly.

"Somewhat ok... what about you guys? I can't imagine the terror, I feel awful."

(Y/n) shook her head. "None sense – how could you have possibly have known that your mother would do any of this?"

"But now you have no parents."

(Y/n) sighed. "I can't change that, I can only accept it." The three of them decided to leave the police station and make their way to the park.

"Well, I'm glad you both agreed to come, I have news for both of you and I'm certain it will help with your investigation, I had to let you know before my father and I fly back home." (Y/n) nodded her head.

"Of course, it means a lot that you'd help us, I must admit I believed it was you originally who had done all this, now I know that it's not the case, I need to apologise." (Y/n) rubbed the back of her head sheepishly.

Maddie nodded as she processed the information (Y/n) had told her. "I understand...I was used like a tool, it was almost set up to LOOK like it was me." Hiro looked at her.

"Set up? What do you mean?" he folded his arms, raising an eye brow. Maddy bit her lip.

"Ok...while on trial, I learnt some things about my mom." She drew a deep breath. The group around her stayed silent as she began to collect her thoughts, processing more than what she probably should have been able to as a girl her age. "She was doing this as some love proclamation to her other partner."

Hiro frowned deeply at the words delivered. "Other partner? Your mom was in an affair?" He asked to clarify.

"Yeah, so much for that whole perfect family illusion." She said bitterly, folding her arms tightly. "And it sucks that I never got anything from the jerk who she spent her time with."

"Who was the guy anyway? If you don't mind talking about him that is." (Y/n) inquired hastily.

"Oh no I don't mind, kinda surprised someone like my mom even got herself a little billionaire boyfriend." Wasabi and Fred exchanged a look of confused while Gogo waited impatiently for such a grand reveal of information, Honey Lemon trailed not too far behind as the older teens emerged from outside, taking seats beside the trio already present.

"Your mom was with some guy? Kinda low If you ask me." Gogo butt in, chewing aggressively on her bubble-gum. "Continue, as you were." Maddie nodded.

"Right, yeah, so that guy she cheated on my dad with – Alister Krie you know, that big industry tech guy that makes himself look all big even when he's probably super insecure." She rambled.
