‪Summer's POV‬

‪I was at the lunch table, waiting for Tomika, Freddy, Lawrence and Zack, enjoying my pepperoni pizza, when something I never imagined would happen, happened: ‬
‪I became a Smurf. ‬
‪Not literally, though. I was covered in blue paint. ‬
‪When I got up and looked back to see who had done it, I saw the last person I expected to see: my best friend, my major crush. I saw the one and only Freddy Huerta.‬
‪I felt awful at the time. I felt sad, I wanted to cry. And I think he saw it.‬
‪"Freddy ... How could you? Why would you?" I asked, still shocked.‬
‪"S-Summer, I'm sor-" he tried to say something, but was cut off by Principal Mullins. ‬
‪"Excuse me! Excuse me!" She said, trying to pass through the crowd that had formed around us. ‬
‪"What is going on here?! Freddy, to my office! NOW !!!"‬
‪And with that, the two left the cafeteria.‬
‪"Oh my God, are you okay?" Tomika asked, running toward me along with Lawrence and Zack.‬
‪"What happened?" Lawrence asked.‬
‪"Why are you covered in blue paint?" Zack continued with the question session.‬
‪"I don't know, but Freddy seems to have spilled it on me ..." I replied, still trying to process what had just happened."Do I have to break his face ?!" Tomika asked. I love how she tries to protect me from everything and everyone.‬
‪"It's okay, Meeka, you do not have to be mad ..." Zack said, trying to calm her down. I ship it.‬
‪"Relax, Tomika, I know he didn't mean it, it must have been an accident." I said.‬
‪"Okay. But now let's go to the bathroom, you need to take a shower and get all that paint off your body. I have an extra uniform in my locker that I can lend you." Tomika said.‬
‪"Thanks!" I answered.‬

‪--time skip to when the last bell rings--‬

‪"Bye, Tomika !! See you tomorrow !!" I waved to my best friend, while getting out of school and heading to home.‬
‪I was passing through the gates and down the stairs when I heard someone calling me.‬
‪"Summer! Wait!"‬
‪I turned around and saw Freddy running, trying to catch up with me.‬
‪"Freddy?" I asked, a little confused.‬
‪"Summer, I really need to talk to you. Can I walk you home?"‬
