Freddy's POV

When I reached Summer's house to take her to the prom, I rang the doorbell. A few seconds later, a stunning Summer answered it.
"Wow, Sum! You're looking gorgeous!"
"Thanks. You don't look too bad yourself!"
"So, shall we?"
"We shall."
I offered her my hand and she grabbed it. We walked together to the prom, holding hands. The moment was magical!
I still could not believe that she said yes to me. To me! Wait a minute... What if she likes me back, and we can finally be boyfriend and girlfriend? Ooh, that would be so cool!!

We finally arrived at school (that's where the prom was gonna be) and headed to the gym. And it was on fire! (Not for real!)
The music was playing loud, everyone was dancing and having so much fun!
"Oh my God, this is so cool!" Summer said, with a bright smile on her face.
"It is! This night is gonna be epic!" I said.
We spotted Zomika at the dance floor, and went to talk to them.
"Hey, guys!" I screamed, so they could hear us.
"Oh! Hey!" Zack said.
"So, you two came together, huh?" Said Tomika.
"Actually, yes!" Summer answered.
"Come on! Let's all dance!" Zack said.

We danced for about 10 minutes while we waited for Lesme. Turns out they weren't there yet.
They finally arrived, and we sat at a table to talk and eat something.
"So, what are you thinking of the prom so far?" Mr Finn said, aproaching us with... Principal Mullins?
"It's great! Best prom ever!" Lawrence answered, super excited.
"Why don't we go dance a little bit more?" Tomika suggested.
"Yeah! Let's go." Summer said.
The girls started walking to the dance floor, and Zack took my arm.
"Bro, this is your chance. Tonight. Tell Summer how you feel." He said.
"I know. But what if she doesn't like me back?"
"Dude, I bet she does. Just go for it!"
"Thanks, bro."
We ran to catch up with the others and danced like there was no tomorrow. 'Shut up and dance' by Walk the Moon started playing and we sang our hearts out. Until I heard a different voice.
"Sum?" I asked.
"Yeah?"
I grabbed her hand and pulled her outside the crowd.
"Sing." I said.
"What?" She asked, looking confused.
"I heard you singing on the dance floor! Your voice is beautiful! Now sing."
She started singing 'Weak heart' by Zara Larson, and I was right. Her voice was amazing!
"Sum! Why haven't you ever told us your voice is so beautiful?"
"Well, at the begging, I couldn't really sing, but I took some lessons. I didn't tell anyone because I didn't want to steal Tomika's spotlight... PLEASE don't tell anyone!"
"Okay. I promise."
"Thanks." She said, smiling.

We went back to the dance floor and danced to a few more songs, like 'Let me love you' by Justin Bieber and 'The one that got away' by Katy Perry. And then, a slow song started playing.
"Sum, do you wanna dance with me?" I asked, and offered her my hand.
"I would love to." She answered, taking my hand.
I led her to somewhere with more space. I put my hands on her tiny waist, and she put hers around my neck. We danced and danced to 'Nothing's gonna change my love for you' by Glenn Medeiros (an: great song! You guys should hear it!). We talked a bit, and looked at each others eyes. This moment was perfect, I wish it never ended.
"This prom is so cool!" She said.
"I know! Thanks for coming with me."
"Thank you for asking me. This is probably the best night of my life!" She said, smiling big. She looked so pretty and cute, just like a princess! My princess.

We had the best time of our lives! Sadly, the prom reached its end, and we all started to go to our houses. I walked Summer to her house, and we just kept talking about the prom and telling jokes.
We got to her front porch, and she said:
"Thank you again, Freddy. This night was definitely the best."
"I know! Tonight was so fun! Thanks for being my date."
Summer hugged me, and kissed my cheek. But, by an accident (an: maybe not!) she kissed the corner of my lips.
That was the first time that a girl's lips touched mine. I could feel my cheeks burning, and I knew I was blushing hard. So was Summer.
"Uhm... Sorry Freddy." She apologised.
"It's okay, don't worry."
We hugged again and I headed home. I noticed I received a text from Summer.

All I could think about was that tiny half-kiss we shared. I know I can't call it a kiss, but still. Her lips touched mine, so don't be mean to me!
I wish I was brave enough to ask her out. Maybe, someday?

Hey, guys! Sorry I haven't update in a few days. I just had no time to do anything this week, and I'm passing trough a hard time at school and at home. So PLEASE forgive me!
I hoped you liked this chapter! I know a few people probably thought Fremmer would kiss and/or get together at the prom, but don't worry. I already have the final chapters planned, and you guys are gonna love it!
