In a campsite far east, The Rust Bucket had stopped in one of the most secluded camping areas. The cars that were driven by Birdway's cabal had dissapeared. But Ben couldn't shake the feeling that they were still around, watching them. Thanks to her super speed, Helen was able to grab a whole lot of firewood in just a few seconds. And thanks to Heatblast, they soon had a nice fire going. Now the entire group sat around the campfire trying to keep warm. (The Rust Bucket's heater was broken.)

Mikoto, who sitting next to Ben and using his jacket to keep warm, shivered a little. "Hey Ben....you think you could turn into something large soft and warm?"

Ben started dialing on his Omnitrix. "So who would you like? Shocksquatch, Wildmutt, or Ultimate Spidermonkey?"

"I wouldn't use your alien forms too often if I were you." said Birdway. "It will make you easy to notice."

"Come on!" moaned Mikoto. "No one can see us out here, and it's freezing!"

"The problem is, just being seen as a weird alien dude isn't the only way Ben can be noticed." said Kevin.

"That's right!" said Touma. "I remember Ben's Grandpa told me something about that. The Omnitrix emits some sort of signal whenever it's in use right?"

"That's true." said Ben. "But usually the signal is so secure, the only ones who are ever able to track it are those with specialized tech, like Vilgax and Azmuth."

"Just because it's an alien device, doesn't mean humans can't also figure out a way to track the Omnitrix while it's in use." said Birdway. "While it's uncertain whether anyone else has discovered the means to do so, it is a definite fact that Academy City has given Recoil that ability, especially given who one of the members of Recoil is...."

"Let me guess." said Ben. "They got Albedo to help them, didn't they?"

Birdway raised an eyebrow. "Not bad, you haven't already run into them have you?"

"No." said Ben. "But knowing how much of a bunch of control freaks the board of directors are, I guess they probably would have found some way to keep an eye on their more powerful residents. I'm also guessing they have some of the level 5s with them too."

"Well you are correct." said Birdway. "I guess that would have been obvious considering they tried to control you as well..."

"So what do we do now?" asked Helen. "I don't think we can just keep running forever. And just because they don't catch us, doesn't mean there won't be a war or anything....."

"You are also quite right about that." said Birdway. "As long as the Celestialsapien's* form remains within the Omnitrix's databanks, then there will be wars constantly fought over it. And a war in these circumstances would be especially disasterous."

"What do you mean by 'these circumstances?'" Touma asked. "What's really going on here Birdway?"

"I'm certain all of you are familiar with Diagon the Destroyer?" said Birdway. "He is perhaps the greatest universal threat in all of magical history.....and the first alien whose arrival on Earth was ever recorded by a human."

"Yeah...." said Ben. "We've heard......."

"So what does Diagon have to do with all of this?" Mikoto asked.

"Diagon is a demon that feeds upon the chaos of the dimensions he enslaves." said Birdway. "At the time Diagon first arrived in our dimension, the galaxy was currently embroiled in an intense civil war. Much of it was being caused by that war loving race, the Incurseans. Diagon, attracted by the utter chaos, came to this Universe and enslaved the minds of it's inhabitants, ushering in a new era of tyranny....even the High Lord Ectonurite Zs'Skayr became enslaved by the Diagon's wrath. This new war is merely a priliminary attempt to create enough chaos for Diagon to work his way back into this dimension."
