(In case y'all forgot how Mia looked 👆🏽)

Meadow

Walking into the building I already felt out of place. It was quiet, way too quiet. I assume that everybody would be screaming, bouncing off the wall. But everyone was quiet. Then I remembered that everyone get medicine to keep them mellow.

Walking up to the receptionist nervously I stated my name and then my aunts.

"Hi I'm Meadow Sanchez, I'm here to see a Mia Brown."

"Who are you to Ms.Brown?"

"Her niece." I nearly choked on my words, I was so nervous.

"Okay I just need you to fill out these forms, as soon as you do you can see her."

I quickly took the clipboard with the paperwork and pen attached to it.

I needed answers and I wanted them now so I rush the paperwork and handed it back to the man. I really didn't pay him any mind while he looked me over. I couldn't get pass his receding hairline.

Not for my future kids honey.

"Right this way Ms.Sanchez."

I quickly grabbed my book bag off the back of the chair and followed him through the double doors.

Everything was so white, the color nearly blinded me.

But the room where we were headed was the complete opposite when he opened the door. It was identical to a jail room.

Yes I know what a jail cell and interrogating room look like, yes I've been to jail. Petty shit I'll get into it later.

"Ms.Brown this is your niece, play nice." He said while leaving out the room.

I looked back at her, waiting for her to say something, shit anything. She just stared.

Emotionless.

Sitting down on the cold metal chair I made sure that everything was intact and that I didn't look a mess by smoothing down my hair and wiping the sweat off my forehead.

She finally smiled. She was beautiful when she smiled, her dark skin still glowing even from being inside this hell hole.

"You look just like my sister." She cooed.

I smiled shyly looking down at my hands.

"Oh child don't be shy, let me see you. I haven't had a visitor since your momma." She said sadly.

I looked at her while she sat there taking in my appearance.

"Look at them eyes, breaking hearts as us Brown women do."

I just smiled before saying.

"I'm sorry, I came here because I didn't know who else to turn to."

"I'm glad you came, I know my momma put those lies in your head about me being jealous of hazel."

I just nodded not trusting my own voice.

"At one point I was jealous of my sister but I never meant for anyone to get hurt." She said looking off in the distance.

"Can you tell me what happened?"

"Oh child, so many things happened." She said lost in thought. I took that as my opportunity to speak again.

"My mother Bestfriend set her up I believe."

Her face turned into a scowl when I said that.

"If I tell you something, would you make it right?"

"What do you mean." I asked confusion written all over my face.

"Your parents aren't dead." She said calmly.

"What the fuck are you talking about! I watched my father die." I spat angrily. I knew this bitch was crazy but I didn't know she was stupid.

"That was part of the plan, if you don't listen to me you will never set it right."

I didn't even know why I came here. She's a fucking mental patient for goodness sake.

"Your parents death was staged." When she said that I rolled my eyes gathering my belongings.

"You think that because I'm in here for trying to kill your father I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about! I may have did some fucked up things but I'm not crazy!" She snapped.

I kept it pushing. I can hear her try to get up but she was handcuffed to the table. Trying her hardest to break free.

I knocked on the door, indicating that my visit was over.

"Your mother and father set everything up so that my parents can pay them and they can get the fuck out of dodge! Your mother wasn't making no type of income when your father made her stop stripping. Everything was staged! From the fake fire to the fake funeral to Amir getting shot. Everyone was in on it honey. My karma just caught up with me."

She said while sitting down again, giving up on trying to break free.

"You're fucking lying bitch!" I said with tears in my eyes.

"If I'm lying Google Denise and Noah White, you research them you find your parents." She said smiling.

"If you knew all this information why didn't you tell anyone." I said in disbelief.

"You're my first visitor in years, my mother and father stop coming, they gave up on me." She said weakly.

"If they're alive why didn't they come back for me?"

She shrugged. "Maybe being kid less was the way to go." She joked

"I hope you die in here." I spat watching her face fall while I walked out the room.

She has to be lying. Only one way to find out. I need to talk to my uncles and make things right with Shiloh. Is my parents alive? If so why the Fuck would they leave me.
