Meadow

"Meadow come the fuck on." Shiloh yelled from the truck beeping his horn repeatedly.

"Chill out I'm ready." I snapped back already irritated because he was rushing me.

"I ain't tryna be on the road with your ass all day shawty."

"I can see that you're not a morning person."

I said while smiling at him as I climbed into the black SUV.

Claiming my spot in the passenger seat.

It was 7:00 am and I never in my life felt refreshed,nervous,and excited at the same time. I was anxious to find out if my parents were alive. I tried to wrap my head around the possibility that my parents either abandon me or are really dead.

When all was said and done. We got the show on the road.

"Where do they stay?"

"Don't get mad."

"Where do they stay shawty?"

"Washington D.C."

"you can't be serious!? Do you know how far that is cuz?"

"It's only about .. 41 hours." I said while  looking down trying to avoid looking at him. Playing with my fingers.

"For all of that we can catch a flight."

"We young as fuck, ain't nobody letting us through."

"You young as fuck! I'm 18 shawty."

"Well I'm not shawty." I said mocking him.

"I'm still trying to figure out why I'm still dealing with you."

"Shiloh I really need this."

Shiloh looked at me like he wanted to say something but just stayed silent. The first hour was smooth, the next four wasn't so much. We argued like an old married couple because he was grumpy and I was hungry.

"Shiloh just pull into that McDonald's right there pleaseee."

"You think I'm going to keep falling for that please shit, you just ate where the fuck you putting that food at anyway."

"Motherfucker where you think I'm putting it."

"I think you got photosynthesis or some shit, you just eating that food to make yourself look human when in reality you just some plant or some shit."

"Shiloh shut the fuck up and pull into the McDonald's parking lot please." I said while trying to contain my laughter at his stupidity.

When he pulled up I hopped out ready to get some nuggets, Big Mac, and Fries. When I opened the double doors I felt the stares but I didn't give a fuck I was hungry.

Instead of waiting in line I flirted my way to the front. I heard all the girls suck their teeth but once again I didn't give two flying fucks.

"Welcome to McDonald's."

I tuned the girl out. "Yes can I get a 10 piece nugget with sweet and sour sauce don't be stingy either. Also, I would like a Big Mac meal."

"That would be 12.50."

After giving the girl my money she handed me my cup and receipt. I walked over to the soda machine to fill up my cup. I waited for a little bit until the woman called my number.

I walked over to her with my ass out, smirking at the women that gave me deathly stares because their men couldn't keep their eyes off me.

Grabbing my food I walked out to see Shiloh leaning on the hood of his car smoking a cigarette.

Ew

"Why you smoking that?"

"Stop asking me questions."

"You want some fries?"

"Leave me alone Meadow."

"Why you gotta act like that Shiloh? We can be good friends."

"I don't have friends, just come on you're irritating me." He said while putting the cigarette out.

"Where are we going?" I said while he unlocked the door and got inside,I quickly did the same.

"We're staying in a hotel."

"Alright, where's my room key?" I said while holding my hand out. He smacked my hand away.

"We staying in the same room I'll sleep on the couch."

"Ohh you want to make sure I'm safe." I cooed while he rolled his eyes.

"You're annoying."

I just laughed while he cracked a small smile.

When we pulled into the hotel parking lot I don't know what I expected. It wasn't bad but It wasn't five stars. I guess I shouldn't complain because he didn't have to do this in the first place. But that didn't stop me from complaining.

"This nasty."

"Stay outside then." He snapped.

"Ohh you so funny Shiloh." I said sarcastically while rolling my eyes.

When we got into the room it wasn't too bad, we checked everything to make sure it was safe to lay in. We took turns getting into the shower and settled down on the couch.

"This my spot."

"I know boy, damn I can't watch a movie with my best-friend?" 

"Fuck is you talking about?"

"Tell me something only a best friend should know."

"I'm not your best friend-"

"Shiloh come on tell me something." I said while yawning.

"Don't fall asleep right here girl."

"I'm not just tell me something already." I said slowly falling asleep.

"Since you falling asleep anyway I'll tell you something."

Meadow ass was knocked out but talking to a sleeping her was better than talking to her when she was awake.

I looked at her as she snored lightly resting her head on my shoulder.

"You remind me of my mother." I said while moving a piece of hair out of her face. She continued to snore.

"I just got pictures of her, never met her before. I think if I did she could've saved me.Saved me from what I am today. My father abandon me and took the only person besides my mother that could ever love me and I don't think I'm capable of loving someone. So don't fall for me Meadow, I'm no good."
