chapter 5

*Uncle Bartel's POV *

Hunal had been unable to find them.
He had rushed in and had fallen to his knees, begging for forgiveness.
"I have searched the perimeter but no sign from them. I didn't want to disappoint you so I widened my search but their training has turned out to be very effective. There is no trace of them left!"
"Well, well so you failed me again Hunal. Or did you fail me on purpose and are you really loyal to the old king?!" spittle flew out of his mouth when he slammed his fist down. "Answer me!"
The kneeling man flinched visibly "N-no sir of course not. I wouldn't have helped you kill them if I wasn't loyal to you." He's got a point there, but still unable to capture two children?  That's just pathetic. " I have no need for a weakling in my team."
Hunal stared at him, shock evident on his face "But, but my lord.."
"Goodbye Hunal." A senbon flew at him and struck him in the neck. He collapsed. Dead.
"Get rid of his body." He gestured vaguely to it. "It disgust me."

*Luna's POV *

"Wake up sis,we gotta move." Alec shook her softly. "It's quiet at the moment. I think they stopped looking for now, but they probably start again real soon."
Opening her tired eyes she stared at him "Do we really have to go?"
"Yes we're not staying here waiting to be found and killed."
"I miss mummy and daddy." Sniffing she got up and walked to her brother, reaching hesitantly for his hand.
"You both have to forget about them for now. It will only get in the way of survival." Delirium uncoiled herself and flew out of the cave. "I go check if it's safe to move for us."
Grabbing her hand he started dragging her outside. "Deli will make sure we're safe and we won't walk into a trap because of her, but we still have to leave this place."
They started climbing upwards back to the main ground. "Shouldn't we go into the ravine?  that's what they taught us.." Alec stared at her "No and it's because they trained us to do that. They'll know we'll go down the ravine and will launch an attack there." He heaved himself onto solid ground and grasped her hand. Deli had made a wide circle and flown back to them "Everything's clear, it's safe to go now."
"let's make a run for it, okay? See who will reach the other side first." without waiting for a reply Alec sprinted of.
