Stuttering Luna told her brother what she had seen that dreadful night.
"B-but uncle Bartel would never do that!" Alec exclaimed.
They stayed the whole day in the cave, processing the event.
Delirium was tightly coiled around her wrist speaking soothingly to her.*Uncle Bartel's POV *
Sitting on the throne his brother used, he tapped impatiently with his fingers on the armchair. "What is taking Hunal so long?!" it has been a whole day already and still no word from him!" "I-I I don't know my lord but I'm sure he'll be here any minute now." bowing the little servant scurried off, far out of range in case he lost his temper. Pathetic lowlife.
He had instilled a new law: everyone that thought about rebellion would be sentenced to death.
Most people of the clan had already accepted him as their new leader even tho the little dragons had all gone into hibernation and refused to acknowledge him.
Most wouldn't be foolish enough to rely on two little kids. Hell that would be pretty stupid.
He grinned resting his head on his hand. Oh well even if they escape they're no match for me. No worries. The day turned into night and still no word from Hunal. The fool had gone alone trying to restore his honour. Ugh shouldn't have let him go alone, this is taking forever.
"My lord, Hunal has returned!" a servant stood there panting before him. "Well?" raising an eyebrow I stared at the servant in disdain.
"He just crossed the border my lord, he will be here in about 15 minutes tops." Ah this one must be one of the scouts than. "Very well, send him immediately to me the moment he arrives." turning my back to him, I made the message clear, dismissed.*Luna's POV *
"Is he gone?" shivering behind her brother she dared a peek to the entrance of the cave. All clear.
"He wasn't a tracker,so it is possible that he missed us." her brother whispers softly barely making any noise. "Why wouldn't they send a tracker after us? Daddy always send a tracker after us during practice."
"I don't know sis, but this works in our favour." they retreated farther into the cave, until there wasn't any light left to see by. "It's better if we try to rest for awhile. We can move as soon as they have deemed this place clear and stop looking so close by. Than we can go to one of the safe places mum and dad set up for us." Alec steered her even deeper into the tunnels until he found a place where he deemed it safe enough for them to rest. "B-but brother now we can't see the entrance. What if someone comes in and we don't hear it?!" panic laced her voice. "Don't worry we'll be safe here. Trust me." He patted her on the back and layed down next to her.
"Aren't you afraid? Shouldn't one of us keep watch or something?" Crawling closer to him she layed down her head on his stomach, feeling his even breaths. Letting it calm her.
