Luna stopped running when they had left the village far behind.
The tears had finally stopped running down her cheeks and her brother finally realised that this wasn't some kind of twisted joke.

"What's.... Going on?" He breathed deeply in through his nose and out through his mouth trying to keep the panic at bay.
"We gotta move! They'll kill us!"
Luna couldn't stand still, she looked like a deer caught in the headlights who was sure it would die.
"Who'll kill us? Luna!" Her brother started screaming at her on the verge of hysteria.
The tears started running again.
"Move as far away as possible before they notice you're gone." Delirium stared intently at Alec. Nodding his head he grabbed her hand and started running again, picking up the pace.

Climbing was no easy task while simultaneously carrying his sister, but he managed to pull it of.
They fell asleep in a cave, exhausted.

*Uncle Bartel's POV*
"What do you mean, you can't find them?!" He yelled at Hunal the one in charge at finding the heirs and killing them. "I'm sorry sir, but they're not in the compound." He flinched back.
"So you're telling me that a 10 and a 6 year old got away without you noticing?! What are you, an imbecile?!"
Rosie saved him from having to answer "Sir we searched the perimeter, all is clear. No sign from one of them." She bowed and ran out of the door before he had time to yell at her. "How could this happen?! They were supposed to be asleep, this plan couldn't have failed so easily!"  He smashed his fist against the wall.
"Find those two rats." He bored his eyes in Hunal's "And make sure to kill them."
"It will be done sir." He bowed his head and marched away.

Every tiny dragon in the clan went into hibernation because their masters had died. They would only awaken when the damned heirs would call for them or when he himself was the strongest in the bloodline. To achieve that he needed to kill them. As quickly as possible before they grew strong enough to take him on.
