Autumns P.O.V
"So y'all go to school?" Two-bit asked,
"I do." Alice said, she was now sitting with us feeling better.
"I dropped out." Lexi said smirking at Soda.
"Kinda." I said,
"What you mean by kinda?" Dallas always
"I'm allowed to only do like 4 subjects."
"You mean you start fighting with the teachers saying you don't want to go to maths, French, P.E...."
"Shut it." I snapped at Lexi,
"No listen to me, when you go to school here, you gotta try okay, don't just go to Drama, History, English and music okay. Cause Autumn, you got a second chance here, don't blow it or I'll break you." She warned me,
"Why don't you go to they subjects, I just don't see what's so bad about school, I enjoyed it?" Darry asked,
"Yeah well you had dreams back then didn't you? You wanted to be something and I bet you had people helping you? Where I'm from, you got no help, I was kicked out for being a dreamer. I don't need another argument that I did with my mum and dad." I snapped,
"Autumn, it won't hurt to go to all your subjects." Alice started again,
"Wait how, are your a dreamer?" Ponyboy asked getting deep into the conversation, me and Ponyboy had a lot in common, that's why I loved him so much.
"Cause I have a dream to be someone..."
"She wants to be a broadway actress." Lexi blurted, she knew if she didn't blurt in, I would of gone on and on talking like a poet. Everyone's face was froze in shock except Ponyboy, he was grinning at me, probably happy that he's found someone else who didn't use his head, he was no longer 'lonesome' as he would say.
"Hey where's bucks?" I asked changing the subject,
"A couple of miles from here why?" Dallas asked,
"By any chance has he got a spare room? And need someone to fill a new job?"Lexi asked
Lexi P.O.V
"Bucks always looking for hands at his place. And if you need a room I'll take you's over to talk to him, since I crash there." Dally smirked.
"Thanks man, finally were getting somewhere!"
"Shit le-"
"Language!" I scolded Autumn.
She rolled her eyes and continued.
"What I was gonna say was we don't have any clothes!" Oh yeah.
"Don't sweat it hen, me and Al will sort that out." I smirked and nodded my head at Alice who smirked back.
"No! You idiots aren't stealing, we just got here!"
"It's fine , Dally will help us won't you Dal?" He nodded.
"Aye alright."
"See all sorted!" I shrugged.
"Fine, but don't get arrested!" Autumn warned, I scoffed.
"Pa -lease, police here ain't got nothing on us." Alice groaned.
...
We spent another few hours in the Curtis household but eventually left just after 5:00pm. The sun was setting which gave the sky a peachy glow and for some reason made me feel at ease for once.
Buck merills was on the edge of greaser territory, a square stacked building just like the film. Full of teens playing pool , partying and drinking. But the family vibe that the place gave of was why everyone loved it.
"Well, this is it. In't it great?" Dally said.
"It'll do," Alice said not evening paying attention. Dally smirked at her with a gleam in his eyes.
We got inside and after a small conversation with Buck we had a fair sized room next to Dally's. I asked Buck if he had any jobs but nothing. He did though hook me up with a job at the Diner. Good enough I guess.
"Why do we all have to share?" Autumn huffed.
"Because shithead we ain't high flyers, once you get on broadway and earn some cash.
Then. You can get your own house with a fully functional bathroom and heart shaped pool. Until then, put up and shut up!" I ranted.
The door then swung open to reveal Dally with a beer.
"You guys ready or what?"
"Whatever let's go," Alice mumbled pulling on leather gloves and shoved past Dally.
"Damn, what shit in her dinner?" He laughed like a hyena.
I shook my head and headed for the door.
"Lex?" I turned to see Autumn on my bed.
"Yeah?"
"Who's gonna stay with me?"
"You'll be fine Autumn, lock the door and amuse yourself till we get back. And don't you think about smoking or drinking!" Slamming the door I headed downstairs ready to steal some stuff.
...
Last shop, I though to myself. I was knackered from raiding shops and stalls. I crouched down with the bandana on my face and baseball bat in my hand.
"Hey there's a sewing machine." Alice beamed.
"Knock yourself out!" I gestured to the machine in the window. She motioned to Dally and they both bust the window to get it out.
We had gotten everything we needed, tons of clothes, hair products and other essentials. This would get us by until I could scrape together enough money to get us a house.
"You girls needs more stuff than guys' do." Dally panted.
"Suck it up butttercup." Alice patted his cheek.
He pulled her by the arm into him and looked her in the eyes.
"Moo!" He whispered.
She scoffed and hit his head.
"Come on ya love me."
"Bullshit!" Alice sneered.
"Ok enough with the sexual banter. Keep it in your pants, same for you Al."
...
"Right sleeping arrangements are simple, I'm oldest I get the biggest bed and before you argue with me Autumn, I have no had any sleep for two whole days." She pouted and spread over her and Alice's double bed. Alice shoved her off laughing.
"Ow bitch , achoo!" Oh well there must have been dust on the floor.
We all changed into big t shirts for sleep.
"I mean it guys, get some sleep cause tomorrow your going to school and I start work. Plus I might go over to see the guys."
"Fine, night." Alice got cozy and went to sleep.
"Lex?"
"What?" I groaned.
"Do you think we'll be ok here.?" Autumn sounded a little scared.
"I hope so, the guys will be there though."
"I'm glad we met them." She sighed.
"Me too hen, me too."
And all I can remember after that was sweet sleep consuming me.
